What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

And in good company, drive safe!
Thanks, Todd.
I made it home safely.
Already miss the scenery... and the trout.
So you actually ended up with 3 knives for your trip instead of one? A man after my own heart!
Actually, it was FOUR knives, including the modern lockback I'd packed along... I like a lockback when I head to the woods.
I’ve left the camel bone 92 in that sheath constantly for that past week. So far so good. I’ll keep watching it. I have had a leather sheath that wasn’t good for knives. Something in the leather was slightly corrosive. So I do check all knives that are in new sheaths a lot, especially in the beginning.
Good to know, keep me posted.
I was only worried because the stuff tends to be very oily when it's fresh.

Two Northfield clips today. These shiny suckers will do wonders for a day chained to the desk, but will get quickly changed out when I get home this evening 😉

The stag on that is great. Very different and great 👍
Cool photo! :cool::cool::thumbsup:
Have you had anyone objecting to what they claim are your GMO cattle?? ;)

- GT

Haha. They’re not supposed to have two heads? 😁 No, we don’t actually have cattle there; I was doing some other work. I think the plant was decommissioned in the late 80s.

Modified Imperial TL-29 today.

Had this Case Texas Jack out after the mail run day
Noticed on the backside, all these chips and lines cut and some brown stuff smeared all over it
If I send it back, can Case fix it or should I just toss it and get another? ... Thanks !!!

I have a real nice trash can for that knife of yours. Send it to me and I will make sure it gets disposed of in the most humane way possible 😂

Have to agree with the others, it’s probably not worth saving, send it my way and I’ll see that it gets properly disposed of! 😂

Good man, Greg! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:
(I think I might be getting too old for grunt work. I was supposed to dig out some volunteer maples that got started in some thick ground cover under a hemlock tree, but I had a heck of a time getting my shovel through all the vegetation and roots. Shouldn't have been such a challenge!)

I felt like pulling out somebody's fingernails, for sure!
I told the kids that I thought Chuck Norris looked like me, not the other way around! 😁

Just snip those silver maple volunteers off at the base. They might re-sprout a couple of times, but they’ll die eventually. It’s a lot easier.
My neighbor to the south has two fairly big ones and my property got heavily seeded this year. I have pulled hundreds of seedlings in my garden alone.

Knife: Farm & Field 99
Peppers: Shishito, Habanada, and Cowhorn
Had to look up the Cowhorn. Sounds good!

Thank you, Jack. :)
I give the subjects all the credit.

I am having the time of my life, thanks. :)
That's great to hear buddy :)

Peasants rule!
...um
Looks cool Jer
Headed home this morning...
Safe travels my friend :)
Not gonna pretend I'm carrying these today. I think my trousers would fall down under the weight if I attempted it. But they are out. Recent acquisitions with lovely stag handles. Both main blades have had to be re-profiled due to damage but they're still good and functional with excellent snap. The mariners knife is by Joseph Allen & son and the other is Taylor Eye Witness, both of Sheffield.

Two nice finds, an Admiralty Pattern 301 and an 8173-1914
Toting a couple of pocket hogs today, a thrifty Hammer Brand/Imperial scout from 1945-55 and a Remington jack made by Camillus on the early 50s. :)
Not hard to see why those two beauties would hog your pocket JJ  I always admire the unusual shield and gorgeous French Ivory on your Remington  :)
Cool cobblers' tool, Jack, and a couple of cool tools from Charlie's output "in honor of" his surgery!:cool::cool:
Memory is sometimes (almost always?) an unreliable "record", but I'm glad I'm not the only one who's finding that out! 😁
Thanks for the compliment on my Case canoe and photo. :)
Thanks Gary :) Yeah, I've been finding it out in spades!  ;)
Thanks for the info, Jack. :) I also have some examples of Marbles stag bone that I think is quite good.
A pleasure my friend :)
Thanks, Jack. :)
That big lambsfoot will fit right in at the tool stall!:cool::cool:
It was the belle of the cake table! :D ;)

Hope everyone has had a good week :) I'm carrying my Bagpipe Ebony Big 'Un today, along with an Old Friend ;)
