  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

We left the redwoods yesterday, but not before another hike in fern canyon and a visit to Paul and Babe.

Today it was onto the other extreme, hot and dry. I carried my Alox SAK and we visited a mountain made of obsidian and some lava caves.

Great pictures Sacto, looks like you guys are having a great time. 😎👍
Thrilling threesome, Todd! The "golfball" Classic is very nice; I think I've seen a Case mini trapper with a divot repair tool that you might need to add to your bag. 🤓
Thanks Gary, love those little classics, I’ve seen that mini trapper as well…although I don’t hit many greens from the fairway so it might not get used much. 😊
Try to keep that dynamic duo dry, Todd!

Boy! share a mishap with you guys and you never live it down! 😂😂😂👍

Headed to town for another doctor's visit - this time for the wife and then on to the Wagon Wheel Cafe for chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and white gravy and then on to the Holiday Market and then home. Thought I'd get off the one-blade knife kick and carry a two-blade knife today. Boker Copperhead with stag covers.

That knife looks amazing with a little age and patina. 🤠
That Boker looks pretty fancy enough. 🤠
Love the jigged bone on that Norfolk, John! One of my favorite Case ~ Bose collaborations.
Thanks, Gary. :)
The jigged bone they put on their colabs has to be some of the best ever.
I love that picture, and I sure do miss the Lego Days... kinda sad when they outgrow them.

In Pocket:
Case 2137SS 5 "x" Sodbuster Jr. (the 5 "*" are gone/used up)
Rough Rider RR719 (2 blade, 3.25 inch closed) Synthetic Yellow Barlow.
Rough Rider RR1287 Synthetic Yellow "Half Hawk" or "Loom Fixer" ... whichever name you prefer.
On Belt:
Rough Ryder RR533 Jigged Amber Bone Scout,Camp knife. (Actually, it is clipped to a SAK steel belt loop.)
August 2020 Buck Web Special Buck 110 with S30V and real genuine actual Ebony covers in a "wrong" black distressed leather Buck sheath. I don't think I really need the S30V today, but I may as well carry one semi fancy/fancy today ...

Sorry. No new picture. The "Attach File" button is missing until I can save up to renew the Basic membership.

EDIT: An unknown very generous member gifted me a Gold membership after I posted my carry.
I have no idea who it is, but Thank You, very much.

Since I can post pictures again ...

The grandkids are here today! I'll sleep well tonight! And yes, sometimes it seems like a marauding band of little people.

Not sure if it’s physically tired, or mentally tired. Probably both.
My five year old grandson is here from Colorado to spend a shared week with both sets of grandparents. Got some nightcrawlers, and heading to the river with him, which is why I optimistacally chose two fishing knives...but first he wanted to build houses with our five gal bucket of Lincoln Logs!.

No gardening or other chores~ gotta keep this kid entertained.
Sure wish they didn’t live 1000 miles away!

Edit:
A start toward fish supper, Right before somebody accidentally let go of Papa’s stringer.43953ACA-A981-4E1A-BA3E-7FEF54A8A443.jpeg

Enjoy the fishing, Jeff! We're thankful that our 2 sons live close by.
I've got 2 daughters, a granddaughter and a great grandson 1900 miles away in Santa Fe, NM. We couldn't get there last year, due to the pandemic. We're planning an October trip. I'll finally get to meet my great grandson.
