  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Is your lambsfoot stainless or carbon steel? It's a handsome knife, regardless!
Hi Gary, thank you, stainless. I like it, still a little rough to work in, but I’ll keep at it. Here is part of the description from the seller here in the US.

Made with 420S454 stainless steel, brass linings & pins, and a nickel silver bolster.

What are you supposed to carry on Thursdays?

My full collection is below. Help me choose. 😊

Thumbs up on that #12 in aqua camel bone. Nice stash all around. I've been overlooking 35s and 12s, but now I can see the error of my ways.

If anybody knows of a dedicated thread of collection pics, please point the way.

Still probably my favorite knife ever Gary...
Thanks, I feel very fortunate to have it. The credit goes to Brent Cramer. It's one of a few knives that I had made to my specifications, and it exceeded my expectations.

Toted these home today ... thrift store junk finds
Couple of keychain multi-tools simply stamped USA
Buck 371 missing a shield
Klein Tools small rope knife
Some kind of wood, brass, stainless, spear point, Chinese something or other
... and a Victorinox Classic I forgot to put in the picture

Didn't need any of this junk. I never get lucky and find good stuff at thrift stores. Gonna stop even checking I think

A new Jack today, a gift from JohnDF JohnDF JohnDF JohnDF (thanks John!)
Hope you enjoy it a lot. 🤠
Amazing photo to a flatlander like me!
They are amazing every time I see them.
I was lucky to be able to ride my horse from the side you see in the picture, straight over the pass to the base on the other side. It was an amazing trip, but we lost a horse over the edge the mountain on the way up. Trip of a lifetime though.
And I admire your black Cadet! I may have to get one to pair with my black Pioneer.
I like that the black ones are cheaper. ;)
Cool photo, John, but I'm curious about what I'm actually seeing! Is it a pic of your Cadet on a postcard?
I pulled the photo up on my computer and threw my knife on the screen... I was lazy and tired from driving all day.
That's a heavy duty user right there. 🤠
travel in solidarity with John JohnDF JohnDF JohnDF JohnDF
Thanks again, ED.
I appreciate the solidarity.
Hope your journey was safe and successful.
Looks like a great place to visit John
That was the only train like it on exhibit anywhere in the world... pretty cool history.
I'm gonna carry this #73 Scout Trapper that John gifted me some time back.
You have definitely made that Trapper your own. 🤠
My wife and I are celebrating our 15th anniversary today.
Happy Anniversary and congratulations. 🤠

That Whittler is amazing. 🤠
Thanks, John. It's a pretty smooth knife and I like the length and profile of it's blades. I've been following the getaway pics, looks like you're having a good time in cowboy country. I like those old iconic Honky Tonks like your old haunt. 👍

Today I carried this older Voos jack as a reminder of the kindness of a porch member and because it's darn nice knife, thanks, Paul.
Also had a GEC mustang along, only because of the habit of having two in the pockets. The Voos was used today, the GEC was just
along for the ride. :)
