Congratulations J. Matt! 😊🥂
One of my favorite knives and one of my favorite players. The first game I took my youngest to was a spring training game when the Cardinals played in Clearwater and she got a ball signed by Willie.View attachment 1619590
What a great memory Jon! I think Willie was a favorite for a lot of us! 😎👍

That looks great. I almost never carry mine because of those blocky handles. Did you do anything special besides sanding the handles down? I’m thinking of trying it myself but worry about removing too much of the peined head of the pivot pin.
Thanks solphilos solphilos , but I can't take any credit other than being in the right place at the right time while on the traditional for sale thread. I can't remember who I even purchased it from so if they see this hopefully they'll offer up their "how to" Aside from that it is a noticeable improvement, although I enjoy the stock version also

That’s about a thirty minute fluff and buff on the delrin. I ground the blade into a drop point in effort to make more of a point. The handle seemed too slick, so I filed some grooves into it to make it more grippy. I usually do even up and round off all my delrin Sodbuster handles. It’s a good work knife for little money but can be better with thirty minutes work; it makes it easier on the pockets and eliminates hot spots. This particular knife my daughter commandeered as her work knife.

Nice work, it looks great. Definitely an improvement over the sharp edges they come with. I can’t blame your daughter for taking it off your hands. 😁

Cool old Opinel!

Looking after my mate's 3 kids tomorrow, so I'm going armed for trouble! :D ;)

Hope you’ve recovered from your day of babysitting, Jack. 😉 😁

Every time you share a photo of that little Bradford, I think, “I need to get one of those.” I’ve been browsing their site this morning… 😁

Nice shot of that Beaver Tail #23! 🦫

So that Lamb followed you to school buddy? :) Nice composition John, I hope your first day back went well, schools don't go back here until the beginning of next month

Same here, Jack. Eleanor starts kindergarten on the 7th.

I haven't been as active lately as I used to be. When I'm not at work I been with my new fiance, since I moved in with her that means not as much free time. But I aint complaining about that, its time well spent. 😁👍

Congrats, David! :thumbsup::thumbsup:

Only took one traditional knife with me on vacation to San Diego. I should have taken my GitD GEC 47. Oh well.

Went scorpion hunting - found several, and this guy was by far the smallest.

I always enjoyed black light scorpion hunting when we lived in Arizona. A lot less fun when you find ‘em in the house, though. 😳

Hope everyone has made it through the week OK, and that you're looking forward to the weekend :) Carrying my Waynorth Lambsfoot today, along with an OLd Friend :)

That’s a handy pair, Jack.

Received the Case Pen Knife yesterday.
Spent time with some Flitz and a paper towel... polishing.
It shined up real good. Think I'll Tote it today along with my Usual Lamb.

Beautiful bone on that Case, John!:thumbsup:

Those are really cool knives. I wish they were still readily available.

I'd take the boys camping when they were younger, and while they were playing Pokemon I was winning auctions on ebay.

Nothing like some quality time in the Great Outdoors! 😉😁

GEC did a great job on these, they wouldn’t hang around as long if they released them now.

Mr. Curly Maple made a surprise return today via USPS, from the CASE mothership where he'd been on an all expense paid warranty vacation.
Welcome home Curly Maple. My camera just can't capture the way light and view angle changes the interesting depth and vibrancy of the grain structure.

It's scary how easy they are to find with a UV light but nearly impossible to spot without one. Thankfully I live far enough in town (Tucson) that the scarier creepycrawlies like scorpions and black widows aren't a problem. You don't have to go very far out of the urbanized areas to see them though.

Salad is 100% homegrown, except the cauliflower. I had lousy cauliflower out of the garden this year.
Romaine, spinach, kale, arugula, beet greens, radishes, cherry tomatoes, green and red onion, shredded beet root, cucumbers, chopped snow peas... all have done well this year. All of these, and wax beans have been replanted for fall harvest. I usually have good luck with late plantings as long as the days to maturity comes before the first hard frost. I stopped succession planting spinach and romaine until it gets cooler. The spinach thrives even after frost and even snow~ last year we were eating fresh spinach at Thanksgiving.
