Cleaned some sap residue off, touched up the edges, and wiped with Norton’s, and realized I did not want to switch to the two I had pulled out of the drawer to tote today.
My knees are reminding me of all I got done yesterday, so other than strolling around an art fair with my two ladies, I’m taking it easy today.

I just got home yesterday from visiting family up in NYC. (did I miss anything?) No checked bag, so I had to borrow one of Mom's pocketknives. This was in my pocket for a whole week and I'm kinda missing it. I thought I had one like it here, but can't find it right now.

Paralyzed with choice this morning...I think I'll go with this pair today:

Glad you made it back! I was just thinking of you yesterday ~ which usually happens when using the 881Y ~ and wondered if that’s what you’d done. Pretty cool that your Mom is a knife person. Mine would hand me a dull kitchen knife.

I agree, Jack! The punch, the exposed rivets, heck even the bail (and I really don't like bails otherwise)! What I really don't understand though is why they went from a small clip point blade to a pen blade ...

Just kicking back today. Wearing shorts around the house but decided to carry this heavyish GEC Scout Trapper anyway - bit heavy for shorts carry. I've worked this knife pretty hard this year so decided to give it a rest today as I'm kicking back.

Took a longer cruise yesterday than usual, from Cape Carteret to Morehead, crossed the ICW into the lower Neuse River and then on to Oriental and back. Lots of wind so plenty of big sailboats out in the big water of the Neuse River - they are fun to see under sail. Been out in the heat and humidity this morning refueling and cleaning the boat - its Noon now and I’m done, we’ll go to the beach this evening. Good day to tote a SS pocketknife. 1980 vintage Buck 303 Cadet. OH

Mom's not much of a knife person, at least by our standards. She carries a SAK Minichamp on her keys, and has a few little pocketknives around the place, most of which I've given her. She mainly uses box-cutter/matt-knives for serious cutting.
I sharpen her kitchen knives when I visit, and it had been well over 2 years, what with Covid and all. I don't know how she's been using them. The side of a spoon would do a better job slicing veggies.

That's an excellent blade selection. I have a Camillus and a Schrade around here some place with the same blade compliment. I should carry one of them more.
