Too soon for memories of winter; I'm still trying to forget it!

My Usual Lamb today...

That's an attractive slip Greg made!

Single blade wharncliffe mini trapper, my favorite variation of the mini trapper, and a Cadet. Should cover it. 😉👍View attachment 1626365
IMHO, you're on a roll as a knife matchmaker, Todd; another first-rate red/black twosome with attractive accessories!

The grain on that wood is incredible; reminds me a little of topographic maps! What knife is that, an Albers?

Tuna Valley Gem.

Notable trio of blades!

The dixie stockman needed some attention. A fellow could be content for life with such a knife.

IMHO, the Dixie is GEC's best stockman (my opinion is based only on pictures, though)!

A pair of new additions, well one just arrived yesterday and the other has been in my pocket since arriving a few days ago.
Congrats on your most recent arrivals!

...
Hope everyone is having a good day :) I've been out walking with my mate and his kids. Carried my regular Hartshead Barlow, and a small Portugese Icel for Random Tuesday

Desirable duo for Tuesday, Jack!

Sensational pair of jigged bone beauties, Steve!

I always enjoy seeing your Cardinals memorabilia, Jon. 🙂 I’ve been a fan my entire life, but I only have a few items here and there, and I don’t think I’ve owned a baseball card since I was a kid.

Here’s me at my first Cardinals game, at the old Busch Stadium. (That would’ve been 1985, so odds are Ozzie Smith was playing that day.)
...
And just for fun, my daughter Eleanor at her first Cardinals game, at Chase Field in Phoenix, 2017.

I picked out this little Case pen knife to carry today. It’s certainly had its share of pocket time before, but not recently, so I think it was due some attention.

Cool baseball-related pics, Barrett, including that Musial ball with ironwood Guardians lambsfoot!
And I think your yellow Case pen knife is iconic and under-rated!

Toting a jumbo stockman and an American Jack today. :)

Those two look fantastic together, JJ! Who made the stockman?

Mercator K55K ... Decades before the automobile, produced in Germany since around 1867

The Black Cat pattern is an oldie, but a greatie! My favorite lockback, I think.

‘81 Schrade SC503. Bought it new from Cutlery World when I was a kid; the second ”real” knife I ever had.
...
Scrumptious old scrimshaw!

Two for Tuesday.

Dandy dark trio of tools, Mike!

I'm green with envy, José!

I carried this Hayn Helper today, vaccinating calves and preg checking some heifers.

I think that is a praiseworthy knife!

I haven't posted in this thread for almost 3 weeks. We were away from home for the first 2 of those weeks, and internet access was unexpectedly horrible, so when we returned home last Saturday, I was 15 days and about 50 pages behind in this thread. I'm not going to try to catch up at this point. But here are some posts from earlier this week (Sunday and Monday) that caught my attention.

Superlative pair, Steve; that Camillus stockman is like a white knight!

Thanks GT and welcome back !

Nice Voos !

I always enjoy seeing those Schrade Scrimshaw series knives. Don’t know that I’ve seen that one before. Northern Pike, right?

Nice find.

Beautiful blonde ram’s horn on that one!

Fantastic pair!

I’ve got these two with me today.

A very useful pair. I’ve never seen an Opinel with a handle like that. I really like it, do you know what type of wood it is?
Old Timer Trapper

I always enjoy seeing a well used Trapper and yours is a real jewel!

The grain on that wood is incredible; reminds me a little of topographic maps! What knife is that, an Albers?

Welcome back Gary wave.gif
Yes, its an Albers. I traded for it with Catdaddy2  The wood is Katalox, which I had never heard of before. Its nickname is Mexican Royal Ebony even though its not an ebony wood. Its a wood that the more I look at it, the more I like it. Hard to photograph though. I probably took 20-25 pics of it the other day to get half dozen good ones.

Cool baseball-related pics, Barrett, including that Musial ball with ironwood Guardians lambsfoot!
And I think your yellow Case pen knife is iconic and under-rated!

Thanks, GT! It had been a while since I’d carried that little Case, and I forgot how much I like it.

I hope you and the family had a great vacation! 🙂
