A day early, but have a Blessed weekend everyone. I hope those of us living in the vicinity of the Gulf of Mexico can dodge the Hurricane. Stay safe!

Can you tell that I like the 35 pattern?

Thanks @mcc850 , and I agree!

Were you totin’ all those #35’s at the same time? 😉😁

Today a knife I went searching for when I saw JohnDF post his. Arrived today and am very pleased:thumbsup: Thanks for steering me in this direction John!

A 2021 #3149 Single blade Copperhead with stonewashed CV steel:cool: paired today with an 84mm small Tinker.

I don’t think I knew Case had a stonewashed CV. Looks nice, pre-patinated! 🙂

Good-looking pair! Was that a clip point that lost its tip?

Cool photo! 😎

I wish they'd do a huge run of Calfpens, I need backups 😶

David, you should really consider using your knives instead of keeping ‘em as safe queens. 😉😁

Laguiole Fontenille Pataud in walnut wood today.

Good-looking Laguioles, gents! I was looking around Fontenille Pataud’s website just last night. They make some beautiful knives, and they’re proud of ‘em, too. 😁

MAM sheepsfoot that is a replacement for an almost-identical knife I traded away earlier this year:

I got my first MAM last year and I like it a lot. I just wish they did a carbon steel version like Opinel.

I wish this Opinel came in carbon steel, too, but I like it well enough in stainless. 🙂 It’s been in my pocket since I got it earlier this week, and I added the #13 this morning.

Yesterday, after my afternoon mail run about 5:00 PM, I had just sat down in and was relaxing in my recliner
when out on my driveway there arose such a clatter, I sprang from my recliner to see what was the matter.
Not to worry it was FEDEX with a package. Phew, thought it might have been Reindeer or something.

This Remington R7352 Prospector Trapper was in the package. I know I said I hadn't made up my mind to get one but yesterday was my birthday and I always self gift myself something I really like. What a great birthday present to myself. I'll pocket it today when we go to town for lunch and a look see at our niece's and nephew's new house.

Nice self gift.

The Upper Falls on the Tahquamenon River as seen from the end of the 4-mile trail running from Lower to Upper Falls:

Yet another pair of classics!:cool::thumbsup: How do you like the bigger Alox SAK?

- GT
Great pictures Gary, the one of the upper Tahquamenon Falls caught my eye. My wife and I visited those falls almost 30 years ago! 😊
Love the bigger Alox SAK. I can’t get over how snappy it is and it feels great in the hand. 👍

Just enjoying my freshly installed artificial turf.
Gorgeous knives Jon, and that turf is pretty cool! 😎👍
Great looking stag JOELSM. 😎👍

4 more new knives from my July buying spree that I've been carrying for the past 3 weeks and will carry until Labor Day.
Chinese Queen canoe in brown sawcut bone that I like very much so far:

Ka-Bar hobo knife whose box makes clear that the company is headquartered in the US, even though knife and sheath are made in China. My first knife from Ka-Bar, and my first hobo pattern:

Some interesting new acquisitions Gary :) Papa Andi contacted Klaas for me, in relation to those Black Angus knives, about a decade ago, and Klaas made it clear that they are nothing to do with them, and that they simply took some cash to allow their name to be used

Hope everyone is having a great weekend  Carrying one of my Lambsfoot SFOs again today, and Charlie's outstanding Black Jack :) Have a nice Sunday folks

Hope everyone has had a reasonable week. Carrying my Hartshead Barlow, and an Old Friend, in the form of a TC Barlow, gifted to me by Charlie @waynorth :)
...
Breathtaking braces of Barlows, Jack & José!:cool::thumbsup:

Desirable knife and slip! :thumbsup::cool::cool:

I may go fishing today, I may not. Always things to do around the garden, but there has been a hatch of flood mosquitos from the rain we had two weeks or so ago. One tried to bite my eyeball, while two more held down my arms, so I had to rush this outdoor photo.
Schrade Franken Jack~ the blade came from a 194 Old Timer with a broken spring. The older 194 with jigged delrin had a broken blade. They were sold as a “for parts or repair” pair on the auction site. View attachment 1628213I don’t know what Kabar called this knife. Schrade’s identical, and fairly rare one, was called the New England Whaler, and Case called theirs the Loom Fixer.
...
Thanks for risking life and limb to get those photos for us, Jeff!🤓
The Kabar looks like a versatile heavy-duty knife.:thumbsup::cool:

Your old friends look trustworthy, Rachel!:thumbsup::cool:

It’ll be the Little Black Jack and a SAK for me today. It’s Friday folks! 😉👍View attachment 1628224
Black Jack, red SAK, leather packs, all on track - poetry, Todd!:thumbsup:;)

Schrade 5OT
r9p2AmO.jpg
Those are attractive lockback Schrades, guys!:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Besides handle color and bolster/shield material, are there other differences? Looks like the brown one is carbon and green stainless? Are the blades the same shape?

What a fun knife, GT. 🤠
Thanks, John. :) I've been practicing using it to make the mark of the "Z".🤓

Hoping to get a little work done in the shop this weekend. 🤞

Edited to add:
A. Wright Regular Lambsfoot, in African Rosewood, a Jack Black SFO, circa ???
Case model 5207, Dog Leg Jack Knife with Pen and Clip blades, in Jigged Brown Bone, circa 1978
...
Lots of useful tools in that pic, John!:cool::thumbsup:
You've identified the heck out of the knives, but how about some of the other tools?

That knife is classy, Gary, even in rather seedy surroundings!;)

I haven’t either Gary, but I’m sure going to keep my eyes open for one. 👀👍
Best wishes for a successful search, Todd!:cool::thumbsup:

Imperial Ireland for a long morning at the hospital (stress test and rabies shots).
...
Seems like the rabies shots could serve as the stress test! o_O

Good luck with the shots, but just to be safe, check the mirror once in a while to make sure you can see your reflection.
😄🤓

That's good to hear Gary :) I'd settle for a wet weekend in Rotherham at the moment! :D ;) I did consider modding the RR Spey into a Spear, but probably won't get round to it! Yes, it's a bit of a boat-anchor isn't it?! :D

Thanks John, it's not been a bad day :) I had lunch at a local Sicilian place, and I've just tried to kill myself with a super spicy homemade chilli! :D Hope you're having a good day yourself :)
I've already decided that when I carry the Zorro moose, I'd better wear my 2"-wide suspenders, rather than the 1.5"-wide braces! 🤓😄
I've rarely met a bowl of chili I didn't thoroughly enjoy, but I'm ambivalent about trying "suicide chili"! 🥵o_O;)

David, you sure get your money's worth of use out of your knives!:cool::cool:

Case at work again this week. I decided to pull out the 15 and the Old Cross and carry them both today.

Wasn’t allowed a knife last night at the ball game  I watched the poor guy in front of me struggle trying to open the heavily sealed plastic packages of dip-n-dots for his Grandkids for about 15 minutes until he got them opened…

Outstanding trio of reddish knives!:thumbsup::cool:
I love small local baseball stadiums! That one looks like a gem! :)

Happy Friday!

Tom, that stag sowbelly stockman moves me! 😲:thumbsup:😲

Waynorth Lambfoot

NGWLwkQ.jpg
That ebony Waynorth Cutlery Lambsfoot is elegance personified (knifified??):thumbsup::cool:

Toting a couple of ebony covered jacks from both sides of the pond. :)
Brilliant Black Friday picks, JJ!:cool::thumbsup:

Strikingly red and curved, Alan!:cool::thumbsup:

Notable pair, Steve; that stockman is sublime!:cool::cool:

Special selection of beautiful knives, Gary.👍👍;)
Thanks, José. :)

It's true, since I can hardly buy knives in the US right now, but they're extraordinary knives, Gary. 👍
I agree, José! :thumbsup::thumbsup:

Have a great weekend everyone :) Heading out for a hike tomorrow with my Hartshead Barlow and Boker Savannah
...
Looks like a more-than-capable duo for the trail, Jack!:thumbsup::cool:

Toothpick and tweezers

3PB2pvR.jpg
Thanks for the info. :) Were those a "factory option" or some kind of aftermarket customization?

Thanks Gary, I absolutely appreciate the amazing and alluring alliteration! 😄👍
Ditto! ;)🤓

Taylor, that stag Dixie is SO appealing; a stockman doesn't get much better than that!:thumbsup::cool:

I was the very fortunate recipient of that beautiful white bone Marlinspike, thank you Gary. It has performed well down at the boathouse where it has been living since I received it this spring. After I drop the pump in the water this fall to keep the ice away, it will come up for a good oiling and a well deserved rest. 😊👍

Glad you are enjoying it Gary. Probably RR’s best acrylic. 😎👍
I'm happy the marlinspike could serve so well for summer activities, Todd!:cool::cool:
Most acrylic doesn't do much for me, but every now and then I'll see some that really "floats my boat", and RR's midnight swirl is an example of the latter.:thumbsup::cool:

Thanks for the kind words my friend :) I still enjoyed the chilli, but I needed to take a shower, get changed, and drink a lot of beer after! :D
