What Type Knife/Tool Would You Like To See Released From BK&T?

I think the kephart would be costly if done right. I would like to see the tweener line expand. 7" BK4 tweener kind of this a TOPs dart.

The scandi daizee is speaking of:

I would rather see the Beckhart with the Kephart style handles personally. They would fit my hand. Ethan also said the Kep handle orients in the hand very well:

Drop point 9. Actually, it's a BK9, with a BK2 front end:

Love the scandi too. I would order that one right now!

I would like to see more machax designs most of all. I feel like this is one of the least likely things to happen. Honestly its only a matter of time until I just get the machax design I have in my head made by a custom maker. Probably LT or TM hunt.

Would also like a 9" bk21, or some sort of tweener kukri or tweener bk4.

The idea of a 9" bk2 in .25" stock is not something I would be interested in. I know TONS of people have been asking for this over the years. If you really want one I recommend checking out the LT wright competition chopper its basically exactly that. Maybe I just need to workout more, but I can't swing mine more then a few times, its just way too heavy. However I would buy one if it was made out of 3/16" stock.

Adding an inch to the bk16 would be really cool. I would buy a few of those for sure. I would also like to see a wharncliffe tweener (710 made one of these, it looked amazing!) and full size wharncliffe. The full size should be about the size of the bk12 or bk10. might just take my bk7 to the grinder and make that happen.

I have been officially bowie'd out. I have a bk9, bk20, bk29, and I just got this bitchin TM Hunt bowie. So I would rather see a bolo or parang or something with lots of recurves. Wouldn't mind seeing the bk6 make a comeback in a thinner stock. I know Kabar has prototyped the bk6 in the past.

Im perfectly happy with 1095CV if kabar wants to make a becker (preferably a bk16) out of a different steel id buy it, but that not really a big deal to me.

I would be very happy if kabar started selling the bk9 and bk10 with out the clip point swedge grinds.

Ultimately I will probably buy any new becker that comes out. I have owned all but one becker, and of those only the bk23 has disappointed me. Pretty good track record.

Awesome idea about making the Bk7 into a Wharncliff. I might have to plagiarize that one Junkie:D

For what tasks? I can't see what a tweener BK4 would be good at? Certainly not chopping, haha.

Well the one in my head has about a 6-7 inch blade full flat grind on a tweener handle. Probably not a good design. In that size don't think it would be good at any one task. I look at it the same as the bk7 jack of all, master of none.

Do it! I really doubt ill find the time to do it anytime soon.

I have a 6.75 inch Kukri in 1/8 inch stock and it is a good knife but it doesn't chop well and is essentially a recurve knife with a negative blade angle. I like it but it also taught me that a Kukri for woods uses should be a little bigger. Maybe it is just personal preference and intended uses, I don't know. It would be a wicked fighter though. I live in an area that is mostly hardwoods so maybe that is it.

Conversely, the BK21 taught me that I do not like carrying a 14 inch bladed Kukri around even if it works EXTREMELY well. I mostly work out of a pack so size matters to me. The BK21 also taught me that as much as I like the shape of the BK4 that a BK4 sized BK21 might be just that much better. It is not that I don't like using or swinging bigger knives like the BK20 and BK21 it is just that I do not like packing them with me. Packing the BK9 and BK4 doesn't bother me at all.
