What Was Your First Benchmade..?

First Benchmade was the Nim Cub II. It was actually the first knife that I paid over $50 for. I love it so much that I bought another one recently. It is still probably my favorite Benchmade.
 
My first was a 553 Griptilian. I was my first what I would call a good knive. My wife got it for me for Xmas, she made a good choice.

No photos but my first was the 275 i got it about a year ago and its still my every day carry knife
 
I started out with a northfork and it easily my favorite knife I own not because just because its a great knife but because I worked 32 hours roofing for it and I feel proud of myself for working for it.
 
It was a skeletonized stainless steel dive knife. Not even sure it had a model number. It looked similar to a Tekna.

The Tekna was a nicer knife, and the sheath was way ahead of it's time.

I think I bought the Benchmade back in 1983. Benchmade was just starting out as I recall.

I've been buying BM's for a long time.

Not the company they used to be though.
 
Mini AFCK about 23 years ago after I was first married. Had to convince my wife I needed a $75 knife. I still carry it all the time. Rotate it in with some other knives. I think it may be my favorite. Still super smooth to open. I love it.
 
My first was a Pika II, marked down to $17 in a blister pack. I had been reading about Benchmade and this seemed like an easy entree. It is better than a lot of $17 knives. Then my wife gave me a Griptilian for Christmas. It is still one of my favorite knives, along with the 585 Mini Barrage.
 
My first and last BM is a mini barrage. It's a great little pocket knife and is easy to make razor sharp.
One BM is enough to satisfy me.
 
Found a pic of my first BM that includes the small cut on the tip of my pinkie from said knife. Picked this up at a laser engraving event at my local knife shop, and it was all down hill from there. Ended up getting a job there and now I'm 2 gold classes deep in my obsession.

First was a 555sbk.. now I have owned over 50 benchmades and currently own 28, (22 are mini grips!! Hahaha) think I have a favorite knife?!

Have had it for many many years. Since 2001 or maybe even earlier.
Smooth and one of the best designs ever.
