What watch do you wear?

True, it's not the only online source. But realistically, it's clearly the single biggest one.
Are you certain WUS is bigger than TZ? I'm not so sure.

Weird thing is, many of the most helpful members are the same ones who lose their $#!% if you criticize their favorite brand.
Like I posted earlier, sounds a lot like the knife collecting community.

It's still a miserable time to be a collector. I remember when a good example of a used Speedmaster Man on the Moon watch was actually affordable.
It always will be. Idiot buyers drove the prices up even on poor condition and frakenwatches. That's good for me though.

Been switching it up with these fellas lately. From top to bottom: vostok komandirskie, seiko 5 snk series, Orient Flight and finally the Orient Pepsi mako. This bug is starting to bite me...

Well Davey boy, I served 8 years of my life in the Army so little punks like you can write and say what they like and if you "don't care about free speech" like you wrote you need to read some history books son! Sounds like you are an immature little boy!
You were in Army? POGs are so cute! 1125 days boots on ground between Iraq and Afghanistan. There are several folks here with more, CM was in the main push for example. Being nasty and playing the "I was Army, respect my authority" card won't fly here very well.

Holy crud, you're my doppelganger! I rotate between an Amphibia, Orient Flight (Black on PVD), Seiko 5 (Green), and have been trying to decide between the Orient Mako or the Ray in orange. I'm having fun buying and selling watches but I'm keeping things strictly in the affordable, sub $150, department.

Added a Ball Aviator 44mm to the collection last week, lovin it! fixed the link

Here's one of the last of the true Ball watches (from when Ball was truly Webb C. Ball and not just a recycled brand name) and one of the last RR Approved wristwatches. Ball Trainmaster in a C case from the 1960s with an A Schild AS1604B chronometer movement.

I know a few who have. Watches are just things.

Collectors can sometimes be very sentimental. Also, sure they didn't just pretend it didn't bother them? You know how folks can be when they sell something they later regret. Can't let others know it bothered them.

Wasn't their pops', grandfathers', or brothers' or watches their wives gave them so nothing sentimental about the watches. The only they'd have regretted is if they sold them too cheaply. I have no sentimental attachment to my '67 pre-moon Speedy. Almost never wear it any longer. Ought to sell it.

I have a much more recent Speedie Pro that I bought new in 2000. It only has sentimental value to me due to its aviation heritage, and that it is THE chronometer distilled to its essence. Something that feels at home in an aircraft cockpit of the 60's, as opposed to the tarted up Breitlings of today.

You'd get a good price for it.

Must admit, I'm bothered by how much of Breitling's offerings are big, gaudy, in-your-face pieces.

Their Trans-Ocean model is a nice exception to the rule. Ironically, their smaller Super-Ocean Heritage is too.

Well when the stupid thing finally gets here [4-23]....... :disillusionment::crushed::fatigue::grief::disgust:.........
