Mossberg 835 fully rifled and scoped 12 ga. remington copper solid slugs
Savage WW .243 with Burris 3x9-40 and Remington PSP 100gr for late Doe

I'll be using a Bear bow with Muzzy broadheads and for gun season I'll alternate, depending on set up, between my Smith and Wesson Mod 29 revolver and my Kimber model 84 in 7mm-08rem, As laways, looking forward to a productive season

It's Archery only for me...I love to shoot my bow & it's what I'm deer hunting with all season this year
My set up is -
2010 PSE X-Force Vendetta XL
70# pull / 29.5" draw / VaporTrail VTX strings
Trophy Taker dropaway rest
Copper John DeadNuts Grave Dancer 5-pin sights
Trophy Ridge Shock Stope Lite Stab.
Alpine BearClaw 5-arrow Quiver
29" Carbon Express Maxima Hunter 350 arrows w/ 100g Grim Reaper broadheads (389g total arrow weight)
I'm getting 308fps thru the Chrono with this hunting set-up ! I'm hitting 322fps thru the chrono with my 3D set-up !

up here in southern mn we cant use rifles so im using a borwning bps 12 guage with magnum buck shot

Browning A-5 12ga. W/Hastings rifled slug barrel and Lee cast key 7/8 oz. slugs.
S&W 4" M29 44 Mag. as back up, in case of shotgun gets damaged.

Launching .303 bullets is my game. :)

I've drawn a tag for a No Lead zone (D8), so I've put together some solid copper hollow point Barnes .311 TSX bullets going 2,750fps out of a No. 4 MkI Enfield. I've fabbed up 25 rounds of this stuff for the occasion.

They are expensive, but shoot well. Now lessee what I can do with this setup. I haven't got much green-forest hunting clothese, all my current stuff is surplus desert cammo. I need to see what I can find around here or make on the cheap.

My Labradors are going to freak when I run off hunting w/o them.

I hope I can bloody my old Colt HBAR this fall. It is very accurate, and my hand loaded 64 grain Winchester SP bullets kill well on hogs. I know they will work on deer.
Every time I take it though, I don't see a dang thing. :(

I intend to plank on a tree limb about 18 feet up until a deer passes under. I will then drop and nail it with my Kershaw DeerHunter :D

I live in Indiana, its pistols, slugs, or pistol caliber rifles only. I'll be using my AR15 in .458socom

ill be using this thing...if i get it done. If not then my trusty 700bdl .30-06

want!!!!!1!!!

Ill be taking the Remington 788, chambered for 6mm Remington with 100grain soft point boat tails.

1942 Smith-Corona 1903 Springfield, killed more deer than i remember with a $125 newspaper ad find 12 years ago

This year I'll be using my 2005 Freightliner Columbia. That's approx 80,000 lbs traveling at a blistering 88 fps (that's approx 60 mph). Taken 2 does already this year.

I know a guy who did this one time. Jumped right out of a 10ft stand onto a doe with his knife. It was some big old no name bowie from the flea market. He got the deer down and eventually killed it. It almost killed him too. If I hadn't been nearby and watched the whole thing, I'd never had believed it. Yes, he is an idiot. No, I no longer hunt with him.

Rifles are illegal here in the plains so I am gonna stick with my trusty remmington 870 super magnum. I've been shooting rifled slugs and have not been disappointed yet. I have been thinking about getting a rifled barrel for it. Has anyone had experience changing it out? What barrel? Would any 12gauge remmington 870 rifled barrel work?
