Whatcha got on order? (Traditional Knives Only)

Just a few heading my way. I guess stress made me open up my wallet. :D I've wanted these two so I just figured why not now.

I've wanted this pattern and have looked for some time. The only one I could find just happen to be in pearl and 1 of 4. My new Sunday carry.

Thanks to Bob and Mike on the first two. Excellent service gentlemen.

Now if I can get home and see the NF barlows, the 15 in cocobolo, and the Eric's Jack I have waiting on the kitchen table.

I gotta say Brett, I have been curious bout the Farm and Field knife as well! Let us know what you think.

Will do. A recent thread on them sealed the deal. In reviewing a knife Im still green, but I trust the reviews of others I have read on it. Reads as though it is a solid user and that's what Im looking for.

I do love the bullnose. Never gave the bull buster a shot since it a tad bigger than I prefer. I expect this 99 to live up to the hype.

Just ordered my first Buck, and first custom shop!
The wait begins :)

I have a suspicion that a Northfield 82 Dixie Stockman in Blackwood is on its way here:D

Finally caved in about this one, generally prefer a single blade but this pattern's lines just fixate me. The other thing is that the Euro is sliding down very fast against the Dollar making future purchases potentially out of reach:barf::eek: Make hay whilst there's some sun left:D

Ah well, if it turns out to be too big and bulky it will make a very good trading item:cool:

Thanks, Will

A Kephart might be my only knife buy for 2015 (or at least the first one ) and I do like both your Humphrey and this BRKT one. Almost pulled the trigger on the Humphrey a few days ago. Yours look great, and I'm willing to hear your opinion and comparison once you get the Bark River :)

Finally got around to ordering a Hess. Outdoorsman to be exact. Interested to see what these old Marbles makers are up to.

You won't be disappointed Will:) just got mine, a wonderful slender and nimble knife with a really useful selection of blades. I already had a #53 Stockman but don't carry it much for the reasons you described. I've realised now that ordering wood covers (Osage in my case) is a smart move too as it keeps the weight down and nimbleness up:) mine lives in a heavy suede slip case which I got with a custom knife. Clever idea this as the suede grips the inside of your pocket, keeping the knife upright. Top tip!:)

She's a looker too:)

Enjoy

Sam

I have a few I am waiting on. First, two snake wood knives, a 25 and a 36. Real excited about the 36, only 8 were made that year. I have a Northwoods Fremont with cocobolo handle coming. A queen medium toothpick in feathered buffalo horn, and a bare end 85 bullet with buffalo horn scales.

Sam Thanks for your insight, but frankly it's you I hold responsible:D:D

Reason I got the Dixie was not just the soaring cost(for me) buy eyeing up the version you have in Osage really settled the mater. I have a CASE Large Stockman which although a very decently turned out/looking knife is too heavy for my 'bin' so I rarely carry it except in a heavy outdoor coat pocket. It's very true what you say about woods, they often turn out lighter than bone and in the worse case, they stand being dropped better! I was brooding about a Black Bone Tidioute version but decided I wanted a slant bolstered Northfield. If it's like the Böker Stockman then I could get into it. Anyway, the Postman is becoming an object of obsession....if you get my drift:D

Got an order placed today on my first custom folder.....from Mike Alsdorf. Don't want to give too much away because of course I'll be posting pics once it arrives, but it's a teardrop jack. And now the waiting begins (16 weeks:eek:, but I gotta feeling it'll be worth it!)

I've got a Gene Wiseman barlow custom coming to me, darned USPS is slow with getting the MO to him. D2, and micarta scales with micarta bolster.

I'm debating on whether getting an LC from Tracy Larock in O1 now, or later in a stainless steel. I can't do both. I might just get a spear jack with a long pull.

I am on the list for a LC from Brent Cramer.

I am getting a Zulu from Dr T, with aged jigged bone scales and CPM154 blade.

I plan on getting an AG Russell Zulu but will probably not get it because of the customs I'm getting.

I am going to get a Bark River Hudson Bay II with micarta scales, my second favorite fixed blade knife pattern.

The only production slipjoint I'm going to get is a Northwoods Madison single blade spear barlow.

I did just reup my subscription for Knife World, I ordered a copy of the Remington price guide at the same time.

Yeah, I'm keeping my kidneys ;). Don't know how I'm going to pay for everything, glad that these won't all come due this year.

After months of searching and then giving up, I stumbled upon a GEC 47 sheepsfoot hayn helper.
It is now on its way to me.

Nice find. I do sorely hope they do a run of the sheepsfoot jacks in O1 and micarta. They are already set up to do it.

I have on order one of the 2011 #73 Scouts with stamped UN-X-LD blades and all steel liners/pins. I've been staring at them for a few years and since I missed out on the list for the upcoming Charlows, I just decided to go for it.

Thanks, I hope they do another run also. Micarta would be on my list also!

I'm waiting on the 15's impatiently lol. I foolishly signed up for one of each lol. Eyes were bigger than the wallet
