Whatcha got on order? (Traditional Knives Only)

I'm currently (in order to better participate here :)), trying to get one of my younger friends over here to help me figure out how to do just that.

Gonna get a new phone (have a blackberry now) soon too, which might make it easier to do as well.

Sorry to be such a tease, I promise I'm not a big fibber. :o

Not a problem buddy, good luck to you with posting up the pics.

I ordered and received it in December, but I've not carried it yet. I never said anything in this thread about it, so I will now that I am about to carry it.

Mike Latham had a very nice price on a Case Amber bone CV stockman with Clip, Sheepsfoot and Punch blades. I'm not certain I need the punch, but I don't much use the spey blade on my stockman knives, so I thought I'd give the punch a try.

Borrowed Mike's pic.

I just ordered a Case G-10 mini trapper and matching G-10 seahorse whittler. I have quite a few traditional in a wooden presentation box upstairs along with some silver coins, pocket watches and other family things that will go to my son when he is old enough but I can't bear getting any of them out to use so I decided to pick up a couple "modernized" traditionals to start carrying.

I saw that knife on Mikes site also. It looked nice but I can't purchase anything in December for myself.

Well I've a few more 25s on the way. I'm a bit of a sucker for them. A snake wood barlow, a couple of spear main jacks, another Barlow and at long last a wharncliffe jack. :)

Edit: oh and a sheepfoot / pen jack

Shipped this morning Paul. ;)

I've got the esnyx highly modified GEC #15 with African Pink Ivory wood scales on the way to me. Quite excited to see this one in person.

I've been wanting one of these for some time now - this one is dressed in dark curly maple and red micarta liners...

I just placed an order from Gunstock Jack for my first GEC - a Northfield Che Chen Rosewood #47 Viper. Looking forward to adding that to my rotation.

That Swisschamp sounds awesome! I keep fantasizing about one with really gnarly stag covers.

I am digging the hardwood scales on my SwissChamp, definitely worth the purchase + I like the magnifying lens!

The extra large Zermatt sheath Victorinox sells is a must!
Fits 1-1/2" belt easily

That Swisschamp looks fantastic! I had a standard one, once upon a time, and managed to somehow lose it.

It is so loaded with useful stuff I can hardly stand it! :D

My bought my first-ever GEC from Gunstock Jack (whom I 'discovered' before he became a member here at Bladeforums). A fine tradition in itself. Sounds like you've chosen a beaut. :)

Portable toolbox, that. I currently use mine often as an 'every too I could possibly need while still at my desk' item, pliers included (I love the pliers). Thanks for the heads up about the sheath.

Just ordered a No.6 in Brazilian Rosewood

The finer handle materials (or is it just their relative price? ;)) somewhat belie the straightforward rusticity that is the primary appeal of Opinel knives (to me), but then, the woods are fine. I am grateful for my Olivewood No. 6.

Pmew, I have ceased feeling sorry for you in regards to #25s. I can't wait to see your new 'uns in your array.

Me, I'm some months out from a small piece that's beckoned to me since I first spied one here. I suddenly (finally?) decided to tie up loose ends, as t'were, and end the haunting while I have the time and means. Plus, I know one of my sons will be thrilled with it once I'm done playing and it becomes his.

Hint: it's made of metal, and the cutty side is sharp.

After reading Gary R. Graley's comprehensive review of the the Le Thiers Chambriard Compact folder, I thought that was a knife for me. I love the bright shiny GEC's and Cases. But , I am OCD about polishing the blades and bolsters every time I handle them. The satin blade and bolster of the Chambriard will allow me to carry it without the obsessive polishing. And... I really like the looks of the knife:
