Whatcha got on order? (Traditional Knives Only)

The temptation was too strong last night, and I wound up ordering two Peanuts, a RR Dog Bone Muskrat, and a Case Mini Copperhead.

I'll have my Boker Plus Barlow in my hands tomorrow. The Lehi, Utah company shipped quickly and tracking (as usual) has been positive.

Stay tuned.

My daughter who lives in Madrid placed an order for me with a Spanish website:

JJ Martinez navaja de campaña, carbono y ciervo (carbon steel stag sodbuster jr)
JJ Martinez marinera 170PE espada carbono (carbon steel sailor's knife with spearpoint blade, abs handle, anchor shield, and bail)
Otter Workman 57-4 (carbon steel sheepsfoot blade, bubinga wood covers)

She's coming home for a visit in about 3 weeks and will bring the knives with her!

Skyped with my daughter this afternoon and she showed me that the knives she ordered for me had arrived at her piso! So I'll get them when she comes home on the 22nd. Here are some maker/dealer pics of the knives (in the order listed above):

Picked up a Schatt & Morgan #22 F&W at Blade. It has elk scales and in ATS-34. Nicely made. Don't recall what Ken Daniels called it but it looks like the Straight Jack.

You should ask her to act as a proxy for all of us trying to get our hands on those brass Otter Mercators and other various and sundry knives of European distribution. :o

Something a little different....MAM 2038 Looked at these MAM knives for a while, just never pulled the trigger. Well now one is one the way!

I ordered my first custom 110 about a week ago, so I'm really looking forward to getting that. I'm trying not to think about it since they take a little while. So, to make myself feel better, I ordered a Case canoe with CV in the amber bone last night.

Congrats on the 110. How did you spec it?

S30V, nickel silver bolsters, oak inlays with rivets (I have a big oak leaf tattoo so it made sense :)), and the brown sheath. I have to say, I'm really excited about it. It makes it special when it's "mine"....

Very nice! I just "built" one on their site to you're spec, and I've got to say that as guy who usually gravitates towards brass and dark wood, you've picked a beautiful combination. Be sure to post pics once it comes in!

I like the dark wood and brass too. Though it would make a nice combo. When I get it I'll definitely post pictures....

Huh... I just saw these Pallares knives in another post on the forum and almost made an order myself! I probably even looked on the same auction site at the listing as you. You should give an update or review when you get em in.

Excellent choices! I have a couple that are similar to the bottom knife and a friction folder from them as well. Fit and finish is a little rough, but they are absolutely amazing slicers and get scary sharp quick. Can't go wrong for the price!

S &M fossil mammoth tooth toothpick.
My couple of days a week casual job with the local funeral directors just morphed into a solid 5 day week for the next few weeks. So Im totally cashed up.
Mind you after 30 years on shift work as a firefighter it will be me needing a funeral before long at this rate. The analogy I'm using is its like going from being the bikini inspector at Bondi to the guy who cleans pilchard guts out of the bilge of a fishing boat at Invercargill at the very bottom of Ne Zealand.....in terms of culture shock.

Recently, I acquired the books "Woodcraft" by Nessmuk and "Camping and Woodcraft" by Horace Kephart which I'm enjoying thoroughly. Of course now that I have them, I needed the knives described by these two fine woodsmen. Considering these two gentlemen were not monetarily wealthy, and they intended their tools to be used, I decided to order the Condor Nessmuk and the Condor Kephart. I've got a couple of Condor products already and have been pretty impressed with them being tough, well put together, sharp out of the box, and easy to keep that way.

Should be in this afternoon, in time for my 50th birthday tomorrow.
