I kinda feel like long pulls and cut swedges are a little overrated in GEC knives. Anyway, I opted for an autumn jig bone. I really like the jigging and dig the shield on this one. Jason, the jigging they did on those 66’s makes me think of instant vintage. I’d love to see one that’s been carried 50 years from now.

I found one on "the" bay.... A GEC #44 with ebony scales. I think the asking price was fair, even though it said "make offer". I made an offer about $30 below asking price, then thought "why am I quibbling over $30... it's a fair price", so I went ahead and bought it.

Two reasons.... I'm a sucker for ebony knives (and handgun grips), and this will be my first GEC. I'm patiently :rolleyes: awaiting delivery.

I'm also still waiting for delivery on an A.Wright Sheffield lambsfoot in..... ebony. :D
 
I have a bone micarta lionsteel shuffler on the way, to go with my ebony roundhead. Wish I hadn’t missed the dom, so I could have the set!
 
My first GEC. That’s all I’m saying, afraid I’ll jinx myself! Supposed to arrive at my office Thursday. I can’t wait.
 
I ordered a Case Tribal Lock, with black synthetic scales, and CV steel... stock pic off the internet... hope it's big enough...:rolleyes:

I am.
I like the pen blade on my pocket pal, but I can live without it and would buy one of these if they still made it.
I really like the as ground finish too, Vic does a polish I don't mind but this is certainly prefer.
