You guys know a good way to clean those rust spots off or will they just fade as I use it?

Josh,

One way to clean off the rust is with drops of oil on the blade followed by gentle rubbing with OOO steel wool. Keep the blade dry between uses and don’t forget a drop of oil on the hinge occasionally.

Found one of these Case Carhartt med. stockman on the 'bay. Had to give it a look see.

Have one. Like it a lot. Thicker build on the handle than other medium stockman. Fit and finish on mine is spot on. "As-ground" finish on the blades. The only Case stainless Medium stockman with an awl that I have seen. Congrats!

Meanwhile I'm waiting for what should become this year's summer knife for me, a Buck 112 LT with Nylon handles and a Nylon belt sheath. Should be nice and light plus relatively impervious to water.

I just ordered a Case slimline trapper in brown jigged delrin.
The funny thing is that this is probably the first time I've ever actually chosen stainless steel over Carbon steel, but I liked the look of the jigged brown delrin over the smooth yellow and the as ground blade finish over the polished blades.
I thought about it a minute and made my decision.
If case would offer their CV blades as ground I'd be extremely happy.

Oh and BHQ is tossing in a free case knives " flight tag " with every Case knives purchase so I added that on and it'll be a zipper pull on my work bag.
