Whatcha got on order? (Traditional Knives Only)

I'm after a Hay N'Helper 2 blade in the Glo material.

That Half-Whitt looks far from stupid as well...hope it's single-spring.

I was able to order an Orange HayNHelper with a Sheepfoot blade this morning.

Finally broke down and ordered the Opinel No. 6 in bubinga. I like my No 8 but it just doesn't carry the way I like in a front pocket, much better in a back pocket. I thought I'd try the 6, plus I love bubinga, a friend of mine has a set of Sonor drums in that wood and they are beautiful.

Then I went ahead and grabbed a small Utica stockman too, I couldn't resist the price :D

Just ordered a 2 blade one myself. It was a tough debate between the orange and the GID acrylic, but the orange won out because this is a knife that I will use and use hard. I'm worried about scratching up the acrylic handles and then black crud getting in those scratches and looking ugly against the white handles.

I'll probably end up getting a GID one later anyway, but I can only afford one knife at the moment.

Yep. I placed my order from collectorknives.net at 7:39am, and got my tracking info at 7:51am. 12 minute service...not bad.

Well - I don´t know if this is traditional enough, but I have a Lionsteel Opera on its way to me... Olive wood handles, backlock and D2 steel. I think that should fit the bill. It´s gonna be my first knife in D2. So I´m really looking forward on this steel and the knife in general. It seems not be very popular in the US, but in Germany it´s often recommended as a nice gentleman´s folder.

Well I said I wouldn't order another knife until after Christmas but then when I said it I was counting on my buddy being out with a hernea and getting in a bunch of overtime! I never ordered an Opinel before since where I use to live they were well stocked. I put in an order for a Opinel #6 Brazilian Rose Wood should be here soon! With this one being limited I would have had to order it anyway!

This evening i've ordered my first Buck knife, a 301 stockman, USA made version no less! Hope i'm gonna like it.

I've got the #62 Easy Pocket Courthouse Whittler and the #73 linerlock coming to me! Looking forward to it.

I have a GEC #79 on the way, bought from a member here. Also a GEC #65, with the grizzly bone covers, that should be here tomorrow. Looking forward to both. It will be a good knife week. Those two on the way and the GEC 2012 traditional received yesterday.

Have one of these on the way, its bigger than what I normally carry (at 4.25") but I am interested in trying out the ATS-34 blade steel on a traditional.

What covers did you find on the 62?

I was on my way to the dealer's site to pick up the last #62 snakewood version, and it was sold out (I have the worst luck with that). So I picked up a Tidioute in ebony and a Northfield in coconut.

There are still a few left. I think it's being called the #62 Easy Pocket Congress, and #62 Easy Pocket Whittler. I think it might also be called the Courthouse Whittler, but I'm not sure about that.

There is also the 2 bladed version called the Half Congress.

Two arrivals this week, the Opinel No 6 came yesterday and a medium Utica Catskill stockman today. Both are sweet knives, especially considering I couldn't get one GEC for the price of both.
I'm really happy with the small Utica, centered blades, good walk and talk, nicely jigged bone handles (the brown is sort of translucent), and no gaps!
Both need a few swipes on my Sharpmaker, but they have good enough working edges that only a knife nut would want 'em sharper. :D
I bought both on a whim and I'm glad I did. I've had at least one "why did I buy this" moment, but not for these two.
