Whatcha got on order? (Traditional Knives Only)

The beginning of the month is the most dangerous for a knife nut, since it's payday :D After all the bills were taken care of I had a little left to put in the knife fund, so I bought a couple things starting with a Camillus made bone handled Remington Bullet Jack. The swedges got me, plus I don't really have any Camillus except a 'demo' knife that's a little too heavy for regular pocket carry. Then I spotted a carbon steel green handled Boker medium stockman. The last two Bokers I bought really blew me away with their fit and finish (Evergreen 4" SS stockman jack and 2 3/4" rosewood carbon pen) so I just couldn't resist at the price. I thought I was done, but I've had a hankerin' for a regular sized Scout. I've had a Jr. Scout for awhile, but I've been wanting a red bone Case with the old fashioned blade style can opener. I see them on eBay at ridiculous prices all the time and have passed, but yesterday I spotted a nearly new early 70's red bone at a reasonable price so I went for it.

So that's it, the knife budget is blown out for October already and I didn't even get an orange trapper. Oh wait, the BF traditional is a trapper...whew! :D

This Menefee backpocket just showed up.....LOVE it!

Well ... it´s all Modoc Ed´s and sitflyer´s fault because of their great pics of this pattern - Today I ordered a GEC #12 Powderhorn Jack in Copperhead Jiggend Bone (and a #72 Mini Lockback Hunter with ebony wood). Now the beginns again... :D I´m really looking forward getting these two knives, especially the #12 has caught my eye for a long time...

I've got a GEC #85 Bullet end Harness Jack w/improved punch inbound. can't seem to get enough of this pattern. I've shied away from slip joints in favor of lock backs for many years. I'ed forgotten how good a well made slip joint could be. Its good to be back.

My wonderful wife ordered a Nothfield White Owl in Snakewood for my birthday. Should have it in the next few days. This will be my first GEC and wanted it to be a Northfield. Now that I have that out of the way I can start getting Tid's as well. :)

Have another GEC Montana Workhorse Whittler (this time in Buffalo Horn) to join the Natural Stag and Calico Bone.

My favorite GEC pattern.

umm...well I don't think anyone has mentioned it, but there are about 245 forum knives in transit starting along about tomorrow. So, technically speaking, I got one of those due real soon now.

i got an ebony gec #42 lockback on the way.

my stag #72 is too dang pretty to carry and rough up, so I'll edc the big ebony instead :D

Scored a great one, T.A. Davison STAG sway back gent, I think it is #750 and a Norton 1000/4000 stone.

I'd definitely be excited about that one. Sounds like exactly what I'd like from Mr. Davidson. Can't wait to see your pics, you always capture a knife well in photos.

Just scored my first slippie since I was a kid too--Davison #644, 4" shadow with amboyna burl scales. I can't wait until it gets here and I get to see it in person. I suspect the next step is to try to get on Bret Dowell's list...

Cheers,
Daniel

I've got a Case CV peanut on the way. Hopefully it will be here today. With all of the love shown to peanuts around the forum I'm looking forward to seeing if I can carry it every day for a long time!

On a certain auction site, I just won a bid on a USA Schrade OT Minute man.

Nothing amazing, but another good, small edc to augment my Peanuts and GEC #25.

I just reviewed the fine print and it seems my Miniuteman is actually a Taylor.

Crap. My fault for not reading the description very carefully - caveat emptor. At least I'm not out much money.
