Whatcha got on order? (Traditional Knives Only)

:eek::eek::eek:

Boxwood, eh? I wasn't expecting that. Premium steel. Is it the nitrogen treat 14c28, or not?
I have knives in ebony, rosewood, desert ironwood, African blackwood, olive wood, beechwood, juniper, curly birch, etc. I considered another olive wood, it's so beautiful. I also like pistachio, walnut, and many other woods. I know boxwood is not everyone's cuppa tea, but I love it. And it's very traditional! Anyway, I've been looking at it for months, and just ordered it tonight. The only things I was wavering on was the size: the Pocket (10 cm) or the Nature (11.5 cm), and whether to get my initials chiseled on the backspring (before the heat treat). I went with the larger knife and the initials.
As for the steel, it's whatever they use. I'm not an expert, but I love the 14C28 on my Laguiole. Probably my favorite steel.

Well, I promised myself I wasn't going to buy any new knives, except the Forum knife.....
Famous last words!
I've been on a small fixed blade kick for awhile, and have been looking at what Boker has to offer. I picked up a Nessmi, which I really like but then the Pry Mini 1674 caught my eye. 5 1/4" Amboina and N690 by Bohler. It's a Jesper Voxnaes collaboration. I think the belt sheath is what pushed me over the edge on this one. Individually Serialized, 343 made. I had a hard time finding one!

Yep, I see why you like the sheath. :thumbsup: That is really smart looking, clever design, and nice material and workmanship. Gee Whiz!

Um, nice knife too, different but cool :cool:

I have a Remington R103 Ranch Hand, on the way. I am not even sure about the handle material, or the size exactly. It might be just over four inches long, or a bit over three and a half inches. It aught to be a good solid knife, a jumbo jack in hand feel anyway. Camillus made I think... Anyone who knows who made these, please chime in.

It’s usually tough to find a knife that comes with a great sheath but doesn’t look so with that one!

After a while of waiting and watching, I was finally able to get a deal on a GEC 142216 in Ivory bone covers. It isn't quite the darker jigged bone that I have been looking for, but now I have an excuse to buy yet another knife! ;)
And then just today I happened to stumble coincidentally into a drop of the 33 conductors - though I missed out on the stag, I was able to secure a brown jig bone example!
I prefer smaller knives, as they fit in the pocket better (and adhere to my local metropolis' goofy knife laws), so I can't wait to get these in hand!

Did it look anything like this?

In my seemingly never-ending search for the perfect traditional, I've recently been becoming infatuated with the Case Mini Copperhead. One wharncliffe, one bellied blade, and on a single spring so it's super thin. I fell in love with the blue lagoon color when I saw it but much to my dismay it was discontinued years ago. But after lots of hunting I was able to track one down NIB. Got my fingers crossed that this will be the one finally.
