Whatcha got on order? (Traditional Knives Only)

I've looked at this Boker each time I've been back to the thread since you posted this. That is a handsome knife.

I'm pretty excited for it! The Boker Solingen factory has really been releasing some reasonably priced damascus for some reason lately (at least compared to their other Solingen damascus offerings). I think this one in particular is exclusive to the Boker website.

I've been looking at it. Can't seem to find specs, I'm wondering about the length of the blade. The Boxer I have has excellent fit and finish IMHO, but it is a bit on the large side.

edit - found the non-Damscus version listed at 2.75"

I noticed that too when I was ordering. I ended up looking up the specs of the non-damascus versions at BladeHQ and elsewhere for the specs. The specs should be:

Blade Length: 2.75″
Length Closed: 3.75″
Overall Length: 6.5″
Weight: ~2.6 oz.

Thanks  looks like I found the info at the same place and time.

Looking forward to your photos and impressions once it arrives.

I've got an A Wright 'n' Sons, three and a half inch spear pen jack knife in rosewood, ordered. It cost thirty pounds of sterling silver, which seems expensive...
I have wanted one for years now, what the hay!

I bet it will be a clunker, and that I'll love it anyway. ;)

:D:eek: That's a really costly knife, puts Tony Bose's prices well in the shade ;) 30 lb. of silver comes in at around 11,300 USD Hope it was worth it ;)

...but I also bid too hastily on this Kabar scout knife:s-l1600 (1).jpg
before I saw the next picture:

And I won it! But maybe it's salvageable. Aside from the broken awl and heavily ground blade, it looks in fairly good condition. I might make lemonade from lemons and turn the main blade into a Wharncliffe shape. Thoughts?

Ironically (BF irony) I should be receiving a Viper CK Swayback in OD green micarta today. That and a Northwoods t-shirt!

I've been pretty lucky lately! Got a Smith Mudbug, a GEC Conductor, and a Viper Swayback Forum Knife all on order at the moment.

Hoping there will be a single blade or two blade jack version of the #35, then I think I should take a breather for a while.

Lionsteel roundhead Barlow in rams horn and Damasteel blade and bolsters from Collector Knives. Can't wait! The Damasteel is made in Sweden where my grandfather lived until he was 16. Left Sweden to immigrate to the USA at 16 on his own. Our forefathers were brave men for sure!!!

Never in my entire life have I been a beer drinker. At all. But a buddy of mine recently turned me onto some local craft brews and seasonals much to my surprise. I got to be able to lift those caps in style though. I already intend to Rit dye the scales a deep teal or British racing green color as soon as I get it.

After thinking about it a bit, I think that knife would look distinctive in British Racing Green.
