Very Sweet Knife! 🤠

Another 1960's crown logo Craftsman " tie clip " knife made by imperial.

I scored my first on Ebay a few years ago but sadly I lost it in December of 2020 the day I took my best friends remains to the vet to be sent off for cremation.
I really loved the knife, imperial did quite a good job on these all things considered.
They may be tiny, but they're a real functional knife, my last had great W&T and they take a great edge like any carbon steel imperial.

I don't think I've seen one of those, only the rectangular lobster tie clips, of which I have a few.

I've searched quite a bit and turned up a kind of ugly gold tone version with a hologram Craftsman logo, but no other versions.
Theres a bigger one with a little bail on the end, but I assume that one's a watch fob and not a tie clip.

Since the blades were already being made for their little keychain knife, maybe it wasn't a hard to make a tie clip version of it exclusively for Craftsman ?

Sorry, I meant I've never seen that shape of knife with a clip on it.
Your mention of "bail" reminded me I was mistaken.

I understood you, I suppose I was just droning on a bit about the tiny version I have coming.

Btw that other version I mentioned is apparently an in between size

Heres a picture I found online.

The one with the bail and the tiny keychain version the little Craftsman is based off of.

It's listed as SS on the dealers website and CS in their catalog , but the stock photo shows the right tang stamp so I'm hopeful that it does prove to be CS.

I don't know what's going on, there are 7 25-1/2 offerings on this dealers site with tang stamps pictured that don't match the descriptions.
A few of them are typical of SS offerings just as they're listed, but the tang stamps pictured depict otherwise.

I first saw one on Ebay about a year ago with no info and would take notice whenever I saw one pop up, I've been occasionally looking for info but it wasn't until today that I decided to ask here on BF's and finally get all the info I could ever want.

They were made by Ichiro Hattori in Japan starting in the 70's , and imported by SHARP, Precise Deeeslayer, Beretta USA, and K-Mart as this M☆ version I have purchased.
Later offered by Hattori themselves as the H109 until I'm not sure how recently.

The steel in unconfirmed, but definitely something I should have no trouble sharpening.
