I can't blame you, they are really good knives. 🤠

I wish I knew you. Then I would say....at least your mother would still love you, knowing you bought that. 😁
I don't remember seeing that one in the Army.
Supposedly an electrician's knife for taking insulation off wires.

Thank you for clarification....now I can see the usefulness of the design.
It's a fake.😟 oh well. At least I didn't pay much for it and I will either give it away or beat the crap out of it. All good.

I have taken chances on items that were unique. Sometimes you win and other times it surprisingly turns into a " gift ".
It definitely would have tempted me.

On a cheap international knife kick, just ordered an Okapi Biltong. I don't have any sheepsfoot blades right now so it will fill that niche, plus some nice wood and an interesting spring construction.

Was considering another RRR, but on a whim decided to check an auction site to see if there was anything vintage that caught my eye. Snagged this Schrade for a bit less than I'd have spent on an RRR, seems to be in quite decent shape. From cursory research it seems to be from the 50s-70s sometime which makes it my oldest knife and also my first Schrade Walden. Looking forward to getting it in hand!

I have been eyeballing these for a while now, and finally went ahead and ordered one today. The styling isn’t exactly “traditional”, but a lot of the fancier French knives shown on The Porch are pretty modern looking too. No th**b st*d or poc**t cl*p, so I guess it’s OK.

Anyway I like the thrifty vibe.
