Whatcha got on order? (Traditional Knives Only)

Here's what I've got on order...repair order, that is! I sent 3 Buck 110s in to Buck for repairs back in February. Today I received an email confirming my work order: 110BRS(1974-1980)-W/O SHEATH/BROKEN SPRING/RE-BLADE AND SPA TREATMENT 110BRS(1981-1986)-W/O SHEATH/BROKEN BLADE/RE-BLADE AND SPA TREATMENT 110BRS(1967-1972)-W/O SHEATH/BLADE DOESNT LOCK OPEN/REPAIR AND SPA ONLY. I specifically requested that they NOT reblade the 67-72 knowing that, if they did, I would loose the vintage tang stamp. Once I pay the bill ($26.95), they will do the work and ship my treasures back to me. I'm guessing 2-3 weeks. I'll post pics then. T-A

I just won this 15" Solingen "original bowie knife" on Ebay.
it wasn't as cheap as I'd have liked it to be, but certainly on the low end of what they're selling for these days.
There are a few variations on the full tang " original bowie " knives from a handful of manufacturers and I have no clue who might be responsible for this one, but I don't imagine that it really make's a difference in terms of steel quality.
I'm assuming it was made around say 1970 or so because somebody wrote a November 1971 date on the back of the sheath, but that doesn't really matter much either and the date could be anything.

the guard is bent which I planned to replace anyways. and the stag scales need a little work as well which is also something that will be remedied by the modifications I have in mind ( mainly I plan to give this a more 19th appearance. )
all the issues are minor and the blade is in a good very full condition with minimal wear, just some minor patina and corrosion that threw away any potential doubt about it being carbon steel.
the mark side scale is pretty plain, but this side sure does have a lot of bark to it.

4" fb, 1095, leather sheath, made in USA of globally sourced parts.
The Legend I.
I ordered it from the company website. I guess even us Uticans can be hauled into the 20th century.
Being a former Utican I might need to get me one of those, Jer!
