My was marked as "delivered" no box no knife, I told his supervisor to tell him to oil the joints and blade every once and a while and the knife would last him a lifetime.

Once, I had a knife package that tracked delivered, with no package in my box...whomever the good soul was that received it took the time to drop it on my doorstep the next day ( it was a Sunday )... Mailmen make mistakes sometimes...and sometimes people do good deeds unexpectedly.

I hope thats what has happened to my knife but his supervisor indicated that there had been some trouble on this paticular route of late. I have started having all my knives shipped to my Mother in Laws house.

Alrighty, listen here folks... I've got two weeks before I get paid, if all the double blade African Blackwood Charlows are gone by then I will be very disappointed. I will supply an ample amount of E-stink eye to anyone who has one. :grumpy: :p

My buddy emailed me last week and told me he found 2 of these in almost like new shape. He was keeping one for his ALOX collection and he was saving the other one for me. :D

This friend has been instrumental in helping me rebuild my SAK collection after the fire....I can never fully repay him for his patience and kindness!!!

So, I will soon have a Victorinox 93mm ALOX Solo on the way! :)

This will complement my more recent SAK silver Solo. A 93mm ALOX Solo is like a Pioneer but with only a single blade and no keyring....very thin and very sturdy. This one is an example of the later run of Red Solos and has the Vic SSR tangstamp.

Got the email, so got a two-blade smooth yellow bone TC Barlow headed my way soon.

I just placed an order for a GEC two blade #15 Boys knife with a lambsfoot main and ebony scales. This will be my first wood handled pocket knife. I can't wait for it to get here :)

A 3 1/2" Queen Whittler with D2 blades reached the top of my want list. This turned out to be surprisingly hard to find. A few months ago quite a few dealers had them. Last night I found a single dealer who had them in stock. He had four in stock. Now he has three.

The difficulty in finding one is puzzling to me. The Queen web site shows them as being in current production, but they appear to be hard to come by.

I have one in the carved stag bone. Love it. I have my 98ot Schrade in my pocket today.

That Calico Bone is very impressive stuff, GEC could use it more as I feel it has great ageing potential too.

As for the Queen Whittler Frank mentioned, a really nice compact knife but I think they are more available in Zebrawood at the moment (no bad choice either).

I'm waiting for a CASE Maple Pen, a GEC Smooth Bone Eureka - these both bought from forum members- an Ohta Wharncliffe, The Forum Knife and an 'unmentionable' in these parts:D:D

Problem is, this time of year with Christmas and holidays, the postal system naturally takes longer. Let's hope they don't all come at once:eek::grumpy:

Lol!! I'm crossing my fingers for you! My single spey Charlow just arrived yesterday in fact and I'm very pleased with it (still haven't stopped fondling it). The AB is a fascinating wood, incredibly smooth and fine-grained in it's jet-black appearance. I've been fascinated with AB since getting my 85 in AB a few months ago.

Very nice knives indeed. Some of those Northwoods have been catching my eye, and I might take the plunge with one of the new 44 Barlows if they're not too expensive.
