Whatcha got on order? (Traditional Knives Only)

I have this one coming, the only one I have seen like this out of thousands. Proof that the Schrade 897UH Premium Signature Stockman was among the patterns that were at some point made for them by Camillus.

Deadfall

Scoured the internet a few days and found that a non BF dealer member had one left! I was about to settle on the nifebrite.

There's a seller with a bunch of green alox Cadets for $30... can't say no to that.

I enjoy my two Case Peanuts so much (a stainless bone stag and CV yellow Delrin) that I just ordered a Chestnut bone CV.

After going back and forth and staring more times than I care to mention I've caved and ordered this one by Mike Zscherny.

I'm looking forward to my first Swayback:)

Great snag there! Thought many times about getting one of those but I don't need another GEC right now. In fact I should sell a few I guess.

Beautiful knife, Living_Simply.

singin50, I've read your statement a few times now and am still confused. Maybe somebody else has a translation.

:D

-- I held off on the Radio Knives at first, then regretted doing so, then congratulated myself on my self-control, then started a part-time job in which I need a screwdriver on a fairly regular basis. Boom:

I like this pattern very much; it's yet one more knife that feels like 'coming home.'

Nothing negative Pertinux, just stating that if I were to buy any more GECs, I would first need to sell a few. They're are all great knives but how many great knives does one need. I know the answer,,,,as many as you can get! And I only own about 20 GECs right now. Guess what I'm really getting at is this, it'll have to be a very special knife for me to buy another GEC right now. That's a beautiful ebony Radio you got there!

Oh, I understand completely; I was just funnin' you.

I really do have 'enough GECs' myself now, and have come to a place of both contentment and a growing sense that, for reasons both philosophical and financial, adding more will likely mean moving some along. "Philosophical" along the lines of what you've said above, "How many great knives does one need?"

(An entirely subjective question, with answers subjective and unique to each one of us, with my own answer informed by the enjoyment I get from using my knives....)

That's the problem with knives. Every time I cross one off my short list I find two more to add while searching for the last one. Looking at all those nifebrite radio knives has me jonesing for nifebrite now. Maybe a single blade boys knife will fill that role.

Oh yeah, I know that feeling very well! Here's one I sprang on a few weeks ago after trying to find it for about a month. Could'a done myself a huge favor by just buying it when it was first released. A great knife indeed!

It's been at least 35 years since I've had a SAK. Figured I'd give it a try again. Should be here by sometime next week.
