Whatcha got on order? (Traditional Knives Only)

Went a little crazy today... visited the Northwoods shop and walked out with a Freemont Jack in camel bone. Handled a lot of nice knives though so came home and gave them a call and now have a Burnside Jack in stag, Bullet Jack in calico bone, GEC Tango in red, and Bull Nose in black delrin all on the way. Ha!

I am not sure how this one will fall, but i picked up a case mini-blackthorne at Lowe's. they have been discontinued (at least from this store) and were on sale for $6.56 each. I couldnt resist. its a cute little guy. as i said, not sure if this counts as tradition since it is some sort of black zytel handle, but on the other hand, its a Case lockback, thats pretty traditional isnt it??

Having strayed from the "Peanut" path i bought a CV Chestnut Bone a week or so ago and today i ordered an Amber Bone cos they are so darn pretty plus a CV Yellow cos they are so workman like, i think the drought is over...

They both came today although what should of been the Amber Bone arrived Tuesday unfortunately it was a Chestnut just like the one i have already so posted it straight back, just waiting for the three inbound from the states twelve days and counting tracker shows them to have departed Chicago and Miami respectively last Thursday and Sunday, so it looks as if Parcelfarce is playing hide the package...

Two arrivals in the morning mail.

The Pallares Solsona arrived from Spain. The photos do not do justice to the deer stag handles. Carbon blade. Fit and finish is good, though the blade is not aligned dead center. It's a beautiful knife that will make a great addition to the food prep rotation.

The Case is a surprisingly nice mini Rancher with CV Wharncliffe. The stag covers are evenly matched - and for the price point are pretty decent. Fit and finish is quite good.

Both very nice knives but that stag on the Case just calls my name every time.

Ya know Andy that Spain made knife looks a lot like a fixed blade opened! Quite an engineering feet!

I have an Alox cadet on the way. Had no idea they were so readily available on the secondary market!

NOS Buck 301; early version ('87) made by Buck in CA, Block letter shield, flat grinds. OH

I have a Schrade Old Timer single blade and an Uncle Henry watch fob single blade on the way. The photos looked good - let's hope the blades are as clean as the photos suggested.

Finally found a #15 radio knife in red bone and immediately bought it. I liked them when they first came out but wasn't sure about GEC (always had older schrades and case knives) but after my Bull nose came a few weeks ago I knew I really wanted a radio knife. Probably going to go on a knife buying hiatus for the next few months after this one.

Didn't even know they were in red bone, make sure to post a picture when you get it!

Great snag there! Thought many times about getting one of those but I don't need another GEC right now. In fact I should sell a few I guess.
