Never has a band caught me off guard quite the way Opeth did. Still Life and Blackwater park are two of my favorite albums ever, nothing like em. Always thought growls sounded cheezy until I heard Mikeals. I could close my eyes and listen and literally see an evil f*cking monster belting out the lyrics. So much metal it hurts my black heart 🥹🖤
 
Dark times when I couldn’t “throat” this particular album and it’s uplifting/triumphant overtones throughout. Love it so much now.
 
I'm a child of the 70's and teen of 80's. "The Outfield" were a staple of my teen years...






"Tony Lewis" (*Lead Singer) passed in late 2020. His cause of death wasn't given, but I reckon he may've been a casualty of the Coof.

Steve Winwood is one of my all-time favorite musicians. Singer, songwriter, legendary rock keyboardist, and very underrated guitarist.

And a prodigy. Seen here at 15 years old. Incredible.
