Oh Man what a tough question...I guess the next one I get!
I started saying that when I was 13. I'm 42 now, got a sh!t load of sharp shiney things. Love most of them. I have my first knife I bought, a Buck 110 in the mid 70s. I even make them now or remake som existing ones. That doesn't stop me from buying them. I can only heat treat reliable about 4" so therefore I need a Chris Reeve Sable don't I?....Of course I do...I'm a guy hoplessly attracted to shiney things that are pointy (if I were a fish I would have been caught on the lure long ago). My latest lust are Khukuris. They are freekin khule! Not so expensive and they work exceptionally well.
after my long winded deliberation...a custom made by a local guy out of a saw blade from a mill (L6 I think) you can see a faint heat treat line, mild convex grind, springs but cuts like it has a purpose. It shaped and shaved/planed 5 catameran sets of composite rudders. It is light, tough...It has that certain something...
