G-Carta makes some great looking handle materials but the finishing time is extensive. I asked another Knifemaker about his process for G-Carta, and he said the same thing, it takes alot more effort to get a decent finish. The knife looks great!I was asked to make one of my B&T's in NitroV and Mexican Blanket Gcarta. The Gcarta was definitely different to finish in the had sanding phase. Lots of go back and do overs, maybe because it's my first one I dunno.

Yup I concur. There's a couple of older threads rattling around this subforum that I found before I started, with finishing tips. It mentioned voids but it's a pretty old thread and I think someone said they had improved their processes. I didn't see any. All said I do like the look and they have tons of products and variations.

Specs: 0.110 magnacut at 62HRC, 0.010 edge before sharpening, full flat grind. Handle is black linen micarta, desert ironwood and "banded ivory" TruStone with yellow and brown G10 spacers and liners. One star mosaic pin, one aluminum, and SS lanyard tube. And a little laser engraving.
