Thanks Josh! Man you need to stop posting in here your making us look bad!! may I ask how you finish carbon fiber? Do you do knives full time? you seem to really knock these knives out and man are they gorgeous!

Ha thank you very much everyone!

Daniel,
I normally finish it the same way i do almost any other handle material. I bring it to 600grit and then hit it on the buffer. I actually only do this in my spare time but have been kicking the idea around about going full time. Thanks again for the kind words.

Blessings,
Joshua

These handles were brought straight off the grinder no hand sanding at all and a light buff.

Okay, that is how I have been finishing carbon fiber to. What type of belts do you use for the 600 grit finish? do you use a fresh new one each handle I assume?

Well you do some darn clean and beautiful work! Thanks for shareing!!!

^ yeah seriously Josh, that's very clean.

Daniel,
I normally use progressing grits from 60-120-220-400-600 then buff, I'll hand sand the handles if need be as well. I actually normally use the same belts about every three blades or so sometimes longer sometimes shorter just depends. Aside from rough shaping with the 80 grit I use j flex belts exclusively for handle shaping. It really makes everything soooo much easier.

Nathan,
Thank you very much. Means quite a bit coming from you as your work is the definition of precision.

Blessings,
Joshua
