Here is ashop tip for you guys that freeze, Put Anti Freeze in your dunk Bucket. It helps two ways! First the no freeze part and second, It helps with any staining funk on carbon and even stainless Steels. I watched a documentary on some Japanese sword makers and they were water quenching the carbon steel swords into these long Horse Troughs that were the color of anti-freeze.

I am not quenching, just ducking blades, But i like how it helps keep things clear. I use the Organic kinds since I'm playing with the dunk tank alot.

Yikes... I hope you mean the type of antifreeze used for waterlines in RV's and cottages? Automotive antifreeze will slowly poison you with every dunk, wipe and sizzle.

I relly hate the smell of that RV antifreeze

You could use a water ethanol mixture,
In Canada we call it Al-cool, but in Merica it's Everclear or grain alcohol.

I suppose that would be the "least" toxic.

A new bucket of water everyday is the simplest.

while it is poisonous to drink, this is not an issue for skin contact. You should not "inhale" it. but if it is just enough to keep the water from freezing, and you have any kind of ventilation, it won't be an issue. that said, I just dump the bucket each time. I really enjoy a fresh bucket of warm water when I'm grinding in the cold. I dunk more then usual.

made this knife vise, just a copy/interpretation of other's that are out there

While at the SEWE last Saturday I was interviewed by a guy from Sporting Classics Daily. Other than the goofy picture of myself I think the article was well done and I appreciate the write up. I don't know how to share a link but you can copy and paste the one below. I am not in anyway trying to sell or promote my knives just saying that going to these events are beneficial to new makers in many ways. If this is inappropriate then just delete it or let me know and I will. Thanks for looking. http://sportingclassicsdaily.com/custom-knives/

I use what they call Green/ degradable kind, Oh, and I don't drink it.:). I put maybe 10-1 water to anti in the bucket.

Nice knives, good article, goofy picture. LOL. Congratulations, and the pic wasn't that bad. We are our own worse critics.
