Busy couple of weeks, trying to get 6 knives done/almost done before a work trip out west. Also snagged a bunch of handle material

Was gifted some apple tree wood, black walnut and two long bars steel.

Sweet pair of antlers for handles

1 of 6 done

3 hunters for clients, 3 kitchen knives as gifts for friends upcoming wedding

Managed to scratch out my first stainless blade today out of .130 aeb-l. Finally feel like I'm getting somewhere with my freehand grinding.

Making tools today. Needed an axe drift for a project I'm working on, so I went out today and forged one out of some 1.5" 5150. Used the press for some (very) rough tapering, but it was mostly hand work...Here it is sitting next to a billet of wrought iron and nickel that will form the body of the axe head. Bonus picture showing a window of the billet. There are two different wrought sources in here though which makes for some great color. This pic only shows one...

First liner lock, AEB-L blade. I took some pics fresh off the grinder (750 grit belt finish) and then threw the blade in the tumbler. The knife is far from perfect, but not too bad for a first.

I think your grind is very nice. It will be a great folder. It's your first? Looks like you've been doing it for a while! Good for you. Larry

Thanks Larry. It's my first liner lock. I completed one slip joint prior to this and have been making knives for 17 months now. I made some mistakes on this one that I hope to not repeat on the next. Here's some stonewashed pics.
