Stark, I will tell you what I think. I think your harpoon tipped bowie is great...nice proportions and nice grind. I ground my first harpoon tipped knives this week but I like yours better. The longer blade and the jimping makes it look right. Larry
Hello All, I'm a hobbyist making knives (too). Last week I just finished kitchen set for my mother in law. The first time I used my new sandblaster box so there are small imperfections. Ak5Mo (1.4116) for fillet knife, N690 for fork and N695 for chef knife. There are local plum wood and stainless steel guards on handles. Take a look:

I finally finished up this piece. I also took a few shots in a new, makeshift light box just for a try and I'm having focus issues it seems(the camera, not me).
Oak Bushcrafter
7" 1084 with Fc and bleach etched finish, rounded choil and spine.
Peened tang, figured Oak, epoxied jute, copper pins and tubes, with a ferro rod and striker.
