I took part in my first knife show over the weekend. The KGA Oklahoma custom knife show. Had a great time, got a chance to meet some other local makers and best of all I sold a bunch of knives! Already looking forward to next year.
I forgot to take pictures but managed to get one with part of my table.

What are the pouches under the knives? They look sick.

Here's a wharncliffe wip in 80CRV2 and purpleheart. My first try at mosaic pins too. I don't have anything to suck up the red dyed epoxy so I used the highly technical slather it on the rods and push method, There were a couple of tiny voids easily filled with the equally technical bobby pin method. It's right at 7" OAL and just need to touch up and polish everything, refine the edge and oil the scales. Crap photos on a dark and stormy evening.IMG_2075.JPG IMG_2076.JPG

Made myself a small pocket hunter / EDC. 5,9" total. Blade is 0,102" thick RWL-34 @ 63 Hrc, 0,0098 BTE. Medium textured G10 cales, G10 liner. CF pin. Alu lanyard tube. Only finished with gator A45 then buffed with super heavy cutting compound.

The crazy thing is its already Friday morning where im at...

They look really great. The integral bolsters really pop with the pattern. Well done.

Nice job. Clean and crisp!

a little break from kitchen knives to work on a utility hunter order, so start with a tapered tang, hardened Z wear

Do you always drill the pin holes jus a tad above handle center? I know you mentioned it to me regarding kitchen knives.

Experimenting with 14C28N. First time I tried it. Have to tweak my HT a litttle, got 60 Hrc but was aiming for a little more. No warp though, did my best to avoid that. This is my second attempt at a "large" chef knife. Lesson learned from the first one: remove a Lot more material. So I ground this one flat to 0.0039", no edge yet obviously. Tried to taper the thing. Gave it a little recurve on the spine. Lesson learned on this one: grind cool and carefully. I fried the heel a little, hence its rounded appearance. Hand sanding? No way I'm ever doing that again. Just finished to Gator A45 on a wheel, longitudinally. Gonna do a little time travelling back to the 00's later and put orange scales on it.

Scaniaman - looks good. My guess is that once sharpened you are going to really like that edge and cutting action. I can’t get below something like 0.004 without water cooling (still need to get that) ... and I also start having trouble with pullouts (not sure if it the steel (carbides?) or too coarse a grit for that edge thinness...

I saw that comment, I can't recall that it was me who said that though.
anyway, just the middle pin, slightly forward and high of center, but very slightly.

in this specific case, I've never made this knife pattern before.
but I'm pretty certain the holes are on center, could just be the camera angle that make it look otherwise

Cushing, yeah it got hot quick at these thicknesses. Hence the heel fry. Tried to be careful, but not enough apparently. Well all in allI it's a practice piece with the HT and all so no big worries.
I used 60 then 120 ceramic before switching to longitudinal finishing with gators.

Working in knives #2 and #3

The smaller one is ready for ht and I need to figure out what I’m going to do with the bigger one.
They are both 3/16 1084, which I found out is probably a little to thick.

I’m just starting out so any tips would be appreciated. :)
