Fusion chef knife, VG10 steel at 62-63RC, 2.3mm/0.09" thickness at the spine, 0.3mm/0.012" at the edge, 200mm/7.87" edge length, 315mm/12.4" OAL, 55mm/2.16" wide. Stabilized Ancient Bog oak + Buckeye burl. Hand made sheath by Pancho Elizalde.

0.135" AEB-L with a taper, 62 Hrc. Ground to 0.006". OAL 13.2". 400 grit compact grain then grey/VFN Scotchbrite. Handle is 1500 grit then buffed with gloss compound.
Racing stripes are obviously inspired from a 1970's van.

Very nice all around, how did you grind the blade in the end, regular blendend grind? I am really looking forward to trying the scotchbrite belts, super nice finish. Has anybody tried ultra fine?

Thanks! I just went it at with the kind of longitudinal blended aproach but ground vertically for a little while when working the distal part.
Yes, Scotchbrites have been a good friend so far. Have some cork 400 and 600 that I need to break in and try as well. Interested to se what they can do. Anything that can keep me from hand sanding.

Harbeer - I am curious how you construct your handles. Are these done with the dowel/blind hole approach often used in Wa handles - or are these two halves glued in place around the tang and then shaped?

this is the first one I’ve done with a dowel and blind hole.

normally it’s just two halves glued, but built off the tang.
