Very nice all around, how did you grind the blade in the end, regular blendend grind? I am really looking forward to trying the scotchbrite belts, super nice finish. Has anybody tried ultra fine?

Thanks! I just went it at with the kind of longitudinal blended aproach but ground vertically for a little while when working the distal part.
Yes, Scotchbrites have been a good friend so far. Have some cork 400 and 600 that I need to break in and try as well. Interested to se what they can do. Anything that can keep me from hand sanding.

That whole slogan - knife makers don't make mistakes, just smaller knives? I had to make this handle twice, and the one that is pictured here, is MUCH MUCH smaller than i intended...Ha!

Glue up and sharpening inc! :)

Here's a WIP hunter in 80CRV2 with elk, bubinga and leather with nickel silver and brass guard and pommel. Not glued up yet, it needs some fine tuning but hopefully ready by mid day. IMG_2218.JPG IMG_2219.JPG

Harbeer - I am curious how you construct your handles. Are these done with the dowel/blind hole approach often used in Wa handles - or are these two halves glued in place around the tang and then shaped?

this is the first one I’ve done with a dowel and blind hole.

normally it’s just two halves glued, but built off the tang.
