Can we see these without the sheaths? You really like the super steels! I like them too, but I’m a bit more moderate than you.

Yes sir, I'll get the unsheathed pics later.

Yes, they take a wonderful edge with special bonded CBN/Diamond waterstones.

Thanks.

Just finished my first knife with my new 2x72, second knife overall. As I told my wife - mistakes were made but so was a knife! Overall I am happy with my first go at a proper knife. The biggest bummer are the splotches from the etch that are, the best that I can figure, due to unhardened portions of the blade. Oh well it will be an interesting talking point. I learned a lot and am looking forward to the next build. Thanks to all for the advice thus far!

I found my anvils today, I knew were they were at, but could not get to them.

My first is a no name one, on a rolling cart I made. Turn the bolt on the front leg and the bottom shelf goes up and down to engage the casters.

It’s been elevated 1/2” off the floor in the corner of my garage, for about 10 years.

Until today. I don’t have a base for it yet. A little smaller than my first with a smaller hardy hole. But beautiful face and corners. But a couple holes. One on the side of the horn the other in a less conspicuous place. I assume holes are common on a Fisher because they are cast?

eveled eveled good looking anvils! I just ordered a Nimba, and I'm really stoked about it!!! Gonna be a while getting here, but MAN! I'm looking forward to my first real anvil. Up to this point I've been banging on a chunk of railroad track!

I guess this is my 3rdish knife so far, overall I think it turned out pretty good. It’s 3/16 1084 with an s grind, because why not?

For the next one, I’ll shape the handles before heat treat so I can get the forged look on the spine and tang.

Been working on this one the last few nights after work

And scales after rough contouring with all hardware hidden

Hi Daniel,
please can you write more about the system that you use for to put the G10 scales on titanium liners. From the holes that I see on liners, I think that it is an interlocking system.
