When you see the price for a replacement blade you'll likely shed a little tear... :(

Great work everyone. I was gone for a little bit dealing with some health problems but I am back now and feeling pretty well.

Just sold this new tactical design on the exchange. Tempted to make it into my first folder.

^ Ian, it's insane how quickly you became a very competent knife maker. I know you were a machinist/welder/fabricator, but still...

Thanks guys, I appreciate it.

Nathan, I gained more interest in tactical designs after seeing your well executed fighters.

Don, I got some inspiration from your work on this blade. I was unsure how to handle the front of scale treatment, and thought something a bit like what you do on your kitchen knives might work out nicely.

This is an inspiration rich environment. I have no choice but to drink from the font of awesomeness... :D

I got this bench from someone on Craigslist, came with the vintage buffer, panther king bench grinder, vice and power strip for a pretty good price.

My partner just graduated and she wants to share the garage for her painting studio. I haven't been able to scare her off with dust warnings so I'm clearing half of the place out and getting a vacuum setup.

In non-blade news in finishing this custom bronze mask for an etsy customer.

Nice one Ian. That handle looks great. Tell me more about the handle tubes. Is it just stainless pipe or some kind of chain ring bolt or something else? I like the thickness.

Just dropped this carcass splitter off with my buddy Tobin Nieto to get a rawhide sheath built. I'll do final cleanup and sharpening when I get it back.

It'll be on my table at the Blade Show.

I can't help but get this maniacal grin when I pick it up. :D

That is one awesome blade Crow... Be careful though, next thing you know, you'll be replacing the lore of Leather Face. :D

WOAH! I like that James!........ the blade that is......... that picture is scaring the hell outta me!
Darcy:D

No. I keep track in my head what grit I'm on as I go. But these are being put aside for now while I finish up some other knives. I marked them so I don't forget before I come back to them. As far as the baby hammock, are you referring to the Squidbillies video?

Just received a 2 new belt grinders :)
One for 50x1220mm belts and second for 50x2000mm belts KMG type grinder.
Some new drills , belts like Trizact etc... :)

Now I need to make dust collectors and upgrade tables with metal sheet and some protectiv walls around big grinder :)

Recently refinished and rehandeled an antique cleaver used by the butcher at my great grand father's grocery store.

Started like this (edge was chipped in a few places one spot was pretty bad)

And done:

And just working on small Friction Folder to get back in knifemaking :) ( and learn how to use my new tools )

From right to left, I have version 3 of my RETT pikal fighting knife, a skinner, two drop points, followed by another skinner and a Wharncliffe that I just finished profiling. Finished all my A2 with those two. The first skinner and the two drop points feature my first attempts at file work. Here is the file work.

I hope to get all of those off to heat treat in the next week or two. With the exception of the RETT which is get black canvas micarta, they are all getting redwood scales from the block i got from burl source.
