Paper micarta seems to sand and finish just like any other micarta perhaps a bit more gummy

Another one with m4 and paper my car to this one I tried to park her eyes and I guess I answered my own question m4 does not take all that well to parkerization but it does

got these handles profiled, just need to tune the thickness of the slot down to match the thickness of the ricasso, and shape the front of them and then glue everything together

I had to add some thickness to the frame for three of these knives, and the fourth is close enough that I can excavate the handle scales slightly to get everything to mate together.
With these, I epoxied 1/16" spacers to the frames and held them in place with tiny brass pins. Note to self- it's easier to remove material than to add it in cases like this

took a class @ dragons breath forge this past weekend. Great experience, well worth taking a class if you are somewhat close by.

Here is the finished result, 1095 spring, 52100 blade with SS loners and all screw together construction.

Bird and trout w2 and stabilized ambrosia maple. Started out as a pretty nice sgian dubh but I decided a swedge would look good and messed it up so redesigned. Customer asked for heat treat color left because she thought it was cool.
