I gave the last knife I made (the green drop point I posted a few pages ago) to my friend and he showed it to another friend who approached me about making him a knife for hunting and skinning. He’s a woodworker and offered a cutting board in return so a win for me too. I had a knife already started so I finished it up last night (minus a sheath, sharpening, and a final polish).

The handle is ringed gidgee with stainless Corby bolts and lanyard tube and black G-10 liners.

It is a WW1 trench knife (inspired replica)
It has a 6" blade, I don't know if that is long enough for pigs.

My first ivy pattern knife. 1095 steel, mahogany handle with brass pins. Even went a bit crazy and did a tooled leather sheath with an ivy pattern.

I don't post here much but wanted to share my "new little friend".
It is an Orion 150s tig welder.
It does so many different welding protocols it is amazing. It energizes on auto-touch detect, or on the foot pedal.
You can set the waveform, agitation in the weld, number of pulses per second, type of weld (arc, tack, basic, etc.), power from 1 joule to 150 joules, and many more parameters. It stores 1000 weld parameters for instant recall, touchscreen, has instructive video on-screen, you select the metal being welded, is WI-FI, OH Yeah ... and has an auto-darkening microscope!

The round button at the tip of the sheath is a tip protector as the tungsten electrodes are needle sharp and range between .05mm and 1mm.
