What's going on in your shop? Show us whats going on, and talk a bit about your work!

It sucks working in the cold shop! I gotta rework my shop area and get some insulation or something up so the heater I got will do something. Hard to heat a 2.5 car garage with 1 space radiator!
I use one of these out in mine. No ceiling or attic insulation so 90% of it just goes up, but when I have it 3' behind me working away at least I can do about -10 degrees celcius out there for an hour or two.
Having a hot bucket of water for hand sanding sure helps too.

Sent this one off to one of my old high school teachers who had a big impact on me.

An experiment and a tribute to our Football World Champion Team for the 3rd time.
The experiment is doing a short handle specific for the pinch grip, time and use will tell me the pros and/or cons. What do you guys think?

Pablo … how does it feel in the hand? Part of the reason for a handle is to balance the blade so the grip point is more neutral, right?

I'm working on a knife that has a tapered tang, which is a first for me. Making things slightly more difficult for myself- it has five pins. Figuring out how to get the pins perpendicular to the centerline of the steel took quite awhile, but when I had that 'eureka!' moment the procedure was ridiculously simple. Anyway, got some sanding to do before everything gets glued together and fingers crossed it works out!

if you are pinching it the weight distribution is already different, no?

Interesting, you took about an inch of the grip? Would be interested to test it if you want to do a pass around. I always liked you wider and thinner profile of the handle and wondered how it compares to a traditional handle shape. I tend to grip with a thumb or pinch grip, especially any bigger kitchen knife. When you think about it, you will rarely see anyone gripping a large kitchen knife with a hammer grip, unless you are chopping with power.

Very classy looking. I'm sure it works well too
Thanks ! He deserve this sheath , he beat my record in wild boars hunt .And now I am in trouble , I promise him to buy new hunting rifle with some expensive optic if he EVER do that . And he do that on last hunt , and this is only his second season 😂

About sheath , yes it works very well . It hold knife tight , can not wobble inside .I installed a stop bulge for the guard as protection so that the knife cannot be pushed deeper. When you insert knife in sheath tip of guard constantly rub on that curved part of sheath and it stretch sheath and when guard stop inside ,sheath move back and hold/lock knife tight , you can shake it as much as you want, the knife will not fall out . Because the part is curved, first you feel more resistance and when you pass the middle of the curve it loosens up and then make some nice sound when guard stop on that how should I call it , bulge part? If I explain well what I mean :(

I SHOULD be making knives today/this holiday weekend.......
but I'm screwing around with my snowblower. Freezing my fingers. Dropping parts in the snow (I don't have a garage I can work in) I think I lost a carburetor needle, I don't know which snow pile it could be in???

I need one part, so now I need to buy an entire carburetor assembly....... Grrrrrr!
