• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

What's going on in your shop? Show us whats going on, and talk a bit about your work!

Made one for a bro. D2 blade and spring, stainless and nickel silver hardware, worm groove jigged bone covers. Tried my hand at pinching bolsters, needs more practice, but not unhappy with the results.

Here are three I'm working on this weekend. Still need final sanding on the handle, sheaths and edge.

Top is S90V Clip Point EDC with a composite hjandle (LVA Carbon and Maroon Linen) with black/Ivory G10 highlights/liners, White G10 lanyard tube and medium Titanium corby.

Bottom two are based on a knife design I made for a few EOD techs while stationed at EODMU in Rota. They wanted a small, utility fixed blade that could easily cut detcord and datasheet, as well as other stuff. These are a bit more refined from the original.

S90V and Z-Max, green linen micarta with Orange G10 and natural linen liners, Orange G10 lanyard tube and Large Titanium corbys.

I am not fully operational to date. I am building a mobile shop and will begin the press on site. I should have the second drop of the Apollo forge by april.
In regards to stock removal projects, my first build was fatally run over, when I decided to get fancy and alternate sides to keep everything dead even, I got excited and laid the blade in upside down!!!!!!!!!!! I thought that I could "adjust" into a similar profile, until the blade folded on me. I was extremely fortunate and was ashamed that I did not heed grinding, 101 basics.
When the smoke cleared, I found that my platten was leaning on top and that was a perfect explanation for the sparks and marks not matching the "program" that was calibrated to Tru Tilt; I was hiting left, 1 MOA @ the muzzle! LOL!!!!
Everything got squared away 😉 and we tried billet #2. I was getting the results that I was hoping for. I got everything close enough for hand sanding. I have the tooling to precisely finish the plunges and primary bevel. Now, to get the experience.
I have considered myself a pre-apprentice in ABS. The only other apprenticeship that I have completed began with the tools and I think that I have my basic vocabulary down. I now consider myself to finally be an apprentice Bladesmith, because I am now able to produce something that requires HT.

Super Knives ~ Brother ~ Think you've found you're Knack for sure ~ Do you sale you're work and if so where can someone find them ~ Nice Knives and Well Done
Thanks! Since I am a part-time/hobby maker I don't have a retail website or store. I sell here on Blade forums and direct sale to guys I work with or served with. I may get more invested in Instagram, but not sure yet.

Is that carpeting in your grinding room???

Spent Sunday reducing stock to scale pairs. As always ended up with some unmatched pieces. I tend to save them to see if creativity will take hold. In this case I had thin (.187) marbled carbon fiber and light grey G10. I don't use much G10 anymore, but this came to mind with a "thin blue line." Not sure what I'm going to do with them yet, but was thinking an auction piece for the local PD. Back the Blue!
