Both broke while trying to straighten them. I got a bit overzealous in the vice when I took them out of quench. I have an occasional tendency to grind in a right hand curve at the tips which these both had. They turned into severe warps after quench. I figured I’d attempt to straighten them as best I could but they didn’t care for my efforts. I looked at the grain with my jeweler’s loupe and didn’t see any signs of micro-cracking or inclusions. I just broke them being an idiot as best I could tell. I’m going to trace them out and work out new profiles.

It's an oil water mixture and yes I'm burnishing it the face of the leather too

First finished post-Blade, Walkabout Drop point EDC in S90V, with what is fast becoming my favorite handle combination, blue linen micarta, natural linen liners and copper hardware. Reminds me of a well warn pair of jeans.

CPM-3V with black richlite handles; red, white and blue liners. Target hardness 60 HRC. I screwed up the lanyard hole and installed a second mosaic by mistake. I was exhausted and shouldn't have been working. The purpleheart handled knife has a black micarta liner. It's 26C3 with a target hardness of 63 HRC. It has a decent hamon that you can't see due to my shitty camera and inferior photography skills. It'll show up eventually as it develops a patina.

the first fit up went pretty well! A few minor corrections needed, and no glaring flaws- so far so good
