I decided that the two brass lines where to much. Now I'm going for two red lines and red thread for the sheath.

This rolled into my shop two weeks ago - a friend asked me if I could rehandle these knives. They seem to be a product of some weekend warrior from decades ago (I guess from her family - she says they are of sentimental value). Probably basic spring steel, with the scales being some type of layered paper micarta-type material, which disintegrated over the years. I straightened the edges so that they are less of a sickle shape, thinned the bevels, refinished with a dip in FeCl and installed new scales from indian ebony. I swear the pins are misaligned because the holes in the tang were like that - it was not worth the hassle to fix that. Let's say it "keeps the original charm".

Got this one finished! 8 coats of Tung Oil on the handle made the grain pop nicely!

Needs another temper cycle; ran out of time to do the 2nd before I went to work this afternoon.

It’s amazing what can get done when the temperature drops below 90 and you have some days off from work.
All blades are 14C28N. Stock varies from .100”- .133”. 18 are drilled and stamped, 23 just got cut out and roughed in this weekend. So, they need holes drilled and then stamped prior to sending out to Bos for heat treat.
Mix bag of kitchen, parer/utility/chef, some 5”-6” camp blades and bird+trout.
I’m trying to decide which B+T I like better, left/right. I guess we’ll see once the handles get on.
