Attempt #2 at forge welding bolsters for an integral.

Also some test cutting with a knife made from 410/26C3 San Mai from Alpha Knife Supply. Gorgeous stuff!

Lastly, using some small Magnacut scraps to make some wood carving knives. I haven't seen anyone make these kind of knives out of Magnacut yet, which surprises me. I'd love to see anyone else's if they have!

got my mister set up and running today! ground the 13-in s90v hardened slicer to 50 grit in about an hour, full flat grind.

note to self, where an apron when using the mister! I am completely soaked the whole front side of me.

I'm just using water at this point and playing around with the air and water settings to see what works well.

I managed to finish up fixing/modifying the watercooler, and new (for me) welder, so I was able to continue working on the welding cart. Finished it last week, and painted it this week in metallic blue, that was sent to me on accident (so now every project is getting painted in metallic blue). Honestly I didn't mind the blue this time, as it goes well with the red welder, and some blank steel accents that I left unpainted/clear coated.

Next to the old welder, that I'm still keeping, as the "new" one can't do ac.

Made a little cable drum-organizer-thingie to put the cables on, as I never knew where to stow them before.

Fortunately, and completely by accident, there was even some space for an outlet and the foot pedal on the bottom shelf.

Made the top to be a table to quickly weld up smaller stuff, if I didn't want to clear the actual table, we'll see if it gets any use
Also added an old cash register to use as a drawer for the torch parts and the like, which was more exciting than it had any business to be, but I finally have all the little stuff in one place, easily accessible, even with gloves on.

The wheels are kicked out to the side, to avoid the cart being too tip-happy, as it got kinda tall-ish. It also allowed the mounting points to be put further up the cart, than it would've been if I mounted them at the bottom of the base, effectively lowering the whole cart an inch or two.

My first foray into the Pop's Pro Cut realm.
Hardened to 66+RC and tempered to 61.5RC.
Full tapered tang and Natural Micarta with a bullet inlay.

Damn fine job on that..👍 May it serve you well!!!!!

I forged this sword, (like an amateur) at my friend's place and been working on it a while. Reached a point where chasing problems using the grinder might cause me bigger problems, so I'm going back to my roots and some good old fashioned hand work. Nick Wheeler gave me this file many moons ago, and it's still going strong.
