What's happening in the David Mary Custom shop?

I reached out to a few of you and mentioned I was going to post up some knives for sale today, but I have decided to try and hold off a day or three until I hear back from some of you first. But I thought I would give a snapshot of my offerings here in the meantime (and I did say above that I might show the finished knives).

Martin, I truly appreciate your kind words, and the role you played in my early successes. I might not be even the modest maker I am today without your initial encouragement and support a couple years ago. I hope to continue to improving my product and service to our community as the time goes on.

tinfoil hat timmy tinfoil hat timmy sorry I've been bouncing back and forth between windows working on a few things, and I missed the word "steel" and just gave the answer to what they are made of in general. ;)

Here you go:

I’d love to try one of those “sold” steels. ;)

There are some real lookers and special ones in that group photo, David.

Not much last couple days as I have been home nursing a sore throat. But I can do computer work. I am making some AEB-L small knives, plus a santoku for a friend who bought the steel for me, .100" AEB-L, and will be heat treated by Jarod Todd. And a Prevail because I just love them. Squares are one inch. Not taking reservations at this time, but that may change. Maybe not, though. I might decide to sell these locally.

DocJekl DocJekl thanks, it is my take on a Bird & Trout design a customer requested earlier this year. The original design sent to me by my customer had a more aggressive "bird's beak", or "pinky hook", which I found cramped my hand, so this is my version designed to be friendly to large and small hands alike.
