It's usable in both grips, and will also function for a wide variety of utility needs. It is 8670, 13" overall, with a 7" cutting edge, and a 4 1/8" sharpened swedge.

Well friends, take 1/8" off of that, as the tip was pretty fine and I was a little too hard in the tip pry test....

seeing that AEBL workload, it makes me wish I didn't have to still shop for my wife and firstborns birthdays, both on the 25th and 26th of this month respectively.

man. those orange blades ALL look really really cool.

So that blade plus the machete I put handle slabs on are all I got done today before heading over to Mom's for dinner and a few games of darts. She won a few, I won a few. We used to play frequently, she and I, and Dad. I miss it. I miss him. Such is life. Good night everyone.

Here's the machete I mentioned, still WIP. So it shall remain a while yet, as Andy dropped off my 8670 blades back from heat treatment today, which means back to the order books for now.

I have more pics from today's shop time than this, but I have to go out, so this is all I can post for a bit. Just to show you a new flap wheel I am trying out, and the perfect job for it. Oh and how do you like my 80 lb "clamp"?

A Nesmuk, Survival/camp knife, and EDChef in 8670, all done by hand. They go with the Ulu, and all will be handled in Suretouch. Seems like everyone who gets a hold of this handle material ends up loving it as much as I do. I wonder why it is not more popular.

Also, turns out the Barax machete in AEB-L I have coming is available after all. Sadly shipping and import would have nearly doubled the knife cost for our friend overseas.
