both nice there, but that kinda a reverse tanto with tad bit of belly curve looks like a super great design, David.

just realized i completely missed the third knife up top. it looks like a good one too......

That's the "dad bod reverse tanto" used to be no belly curve until it got married and had kids...

looks like the knife point in hammer/saber grip or reverse grip ends up in the same position....I think? that a pretty good design there for a stabber...not that I stab things often if at all.

I could be looking at it wrong though. regardless I really like this design.....

Thanks. It is a JTknives design that he used to sell as premade and heat treated blanks from his shop. I made some slight modifications to it, namely rounding the points on the handle, but not much else.

Awesome kitchen knife you made for yourself there David! I got to get me one of those someday! I finally put the EDChef in the kitchen drawer and strictly use it for kitchen duty now. I can attest your knives are VERY sharp! Filet my ring finger open tonight with the EDChef. Yes I am ok after some superglue and a bandaid!

Refined the Barax ergos. Was a bit chunky and hot spotty for me at first. Now it’s excellent. The thinner flat handled Baraxes are easier to make so that they flow effortlessly in chops and slashes. Or maybe just less time consuming. But this one is ready for work and has already proven itself quite well on vegetation and hard wood.

I love that handle shape to allow for a more relaxed grip when swinging. The Firedog on those other choppers looks especially great!

I too, have used a machete unnecessarily in the kitchen. Just because it's fun. Deep satisfaction to be had halving a watermelon with a huge chopper.
