What's happening in the David Mary Custom shop?

This was yesterday before I put maker's mark and finishing touches on it. Wanted to see how it moves with a wood handle, which is significantly lighter than the original one I clad in Suretouch. Basically, it moves about as fast as I can think, not to mention supports just about any grip method you can come up with .

David, you sir are a sneaky man. I'm not sure who you bribed in customs but wow.

I knew I'd be ecstatic about the brown knife you made off a drawing for me but the mini chooper is unbelievable. I didn't expect to like it half as much as I do. I thought it would be a cool campfire knife but man it's slated for so much more. Absolutely awesome work.

Seriously beautiful work. Well done as always!

I received a few blades with some warp back which prompted me to finally get myself into the straightening game. I’m blown away with how easy it was to straighten these 1/4” and 1/8” 8670 blades using the peening method. Exciting!

David Mary, human surface grinder at it again….

You can see where some of the warp was worst on the smatchet. Still some peening marks there. But the blade is straight now and the bevel grinding will eliminate that spot.
