What's happening in the David Mary Custom shop?

Kidding, of course. It's soft though. I think it's 1084. It's going to get the old "David Mary Custom" mark without a steel designation though, just to be on the safe side.

There are various degrees of suck .

Better is better . :cool::thumbsup:
 
Wanted to do marbled carbon fiber for it but the surface of the material I get isn’t perfectly flat.

Grinding it wasn’t making it so today either, meaning it’s finally time for a platen change. Even glass wears over time and the platen edges round.
