MANY years ago, I fell in with a bunch that liked to do weekend or three day hikes. VERY rough and minimalist bunch. Instant coffee in ziplocs, pop a spoon full in your mouth, a little water and down it went. A little more water to thin the sludge in your belly and away you go! It was less a trek than a forced march.

That's simply a fine idea. We did chocolate covered beans on a 2 nighter. Worked fine!

Headlamp only lasts so long. Need it powered back up for the ride home in a couple/few hours.

Who knew it would take me all day to hand sand four little handles to 400 grit!

Sheaths are now ready to be hand sanded, then sprayed out, and closed up. Then makers marks, sharpening and home for dinner. Is it even called dinner anymore when it happens at four am?

Normally I only give Smokey salmon dinner in the morning and kibble a couple times later on the day. I'll give him two salmon dinner cans today. He's a good boy.
